NAVJIVAN VADIL KENDRA – ANNOUNCEMENTS & PROGRAMME ON THURS - 13/07/23
1). President - Vinod Parekh announced : * We are happy to state that after last week's announcement of unfilled seats on our Bournemouth tour, all seats are now booked on the Coach. Many thanks for your co-operation and now NVK will not loose on the Tour. Only 10 days are left for the Tour and there is one more addition as light lunch on the first day and water bottles will be supplied to all on the Coach. Rest of the days, you will have to arrange for your own lunch. Dr. Vinodbhai Kapashi will be the Leader for the Tour. Also take your Freedom Pass with you. Seat numbers will be given to all.
* Next Thursday - 20/07/23 - Lunch is sponsored by NVK members.
* On 27/07/23 also the Lunch is sponsored by a NVK member and another member has sponsored the Music Programme in the afternoon from 1.45 pm to 3.30 pm. Music by Viru Vakani & Party. Members will be free and if you are coming with Guests -£10 - then you have to inform us in advance so we can arrange lunch accordingly.
* From next Thursday, when you sign the Attendance Register on your arrival, there will be another column to complete if you intend to attend the following Thursday - this will at least help us to arrange catering properly. Please co operate with us and do complete the column if you are sure.
* From next Thursday we will only allow you to do Yoga either on Yoga Mat or on Chair. Use of both - specially on the kitchen side will now not be allowed.
2). Today's Warm-up Yoga was conducted by Ushaben Mehta and the main Yoga by Manishaben. Both of them conducted Yogic poses with Garba theme. Manishaben also did many Yogic poses for strengthening and toning body muscles with music like - "Dholida Dhol dhiro dhiro...", "Kukda tari bol mane mithi mithi......." Members soon got worked up. She also informed the benefits about doing the poses correctly. Members wanted more of such work-ups. Many thanks to both from NVK.

3). DONATIONS : (i) £101 from Bhartiben & Kishorbhai Kotecha who had the honour to attend the Opening Ceremony of Jalaram Temple in Jamnagar, India. Both of them had the opportunity to bless. Our Heartiest Congratulations to them.
(ii) £101 from Nirmalaben Dhirajlal Doshi on the occasion of their 62nd Wedding Anniversary. NVK's congratulations and we pray that they will enjoy many more anniversaries to come.
(iii) £80 from Manjulaben Navinchandra Patwa on celebrating her 80th Birthday and also her grand daughter - Deeshaya Parag Patwa's sweet 16th Birthday. NVK's congratulations and we pray that they both will enjoy many more birthdays to come.
(iv) £25 from Urmilaben Harshadbhai Sanghrajka whose grand daughter - Anmol Mehul Sanghrajka qualified as a Doctor with Degree of MBBS and Masters. NVK's Heartiest congratulations to the family and Best Wishes for her future.
4). After lunch today, we will have Dr Devang Shah who is a Human Calculator and expert in many heath matters. It will be amazing to see his prowess so do stay to see the programme.
As usual at Tea Time, Kendra will provide Tea/Coffee and sponsored Biscuits.
(Today's lunch menu included : "Garam Siro", Punjabi Samosa, Chaana/Bhatula. Tadka Dal etc).
The afternoon Programme started at 2.10 pm. Dr. Vinodbhia Kapashi introduced the Guests from Gujrat Samachar and the Doctors who were helping for Humanitarian and Charitable work. All of whom spoke briefly about their work.
At 2.35 pm Dr. Vinodbhai Kapashi introduced Dr. Devang Shah, who then began his talk with the help of slides on screen and a large Tripod Flipchart. He spoke about Human calculators based on fast and fantastic calculations techniques. He involved all members in how to perform mental computation with lightening speed. He explained how to do Mathematical problems quickly.
He asked the audience to give him any several digit number to be multiplied by another several digit number and then amazed everybody by doing the 6 digits by 6 digits multiplication in 20 seconds. The answer was checked by Chimanbhai Sheth on a calculator and was found correct. Like wise he also did a long addition and gave the answer in 10 seconds.
He then explained to members how to perform such difficult mathematical problems with the help of palms and folding fingers. He also announced how to remember a long list of things to do or buy by comparing with fruits & dark colours. Afterwards he spoke on body health and how to improve health problems by performing certain exercises.
All members enjoyed the prowess of Dr. Devang and praised his knowledge. President Vinod Parekh gave vote of thanks. Dr. Devang presented to NVK a copy of his book - Human Calculators. NVK President - Vinod Parekh and Vice President Dr Vinodbhai Kapashi presented NVK's 10th Anniversary Brochure as a token of appreciation to Dr Devang
5). Reminder to the Executive Committee of NVK - Meeting at 10.00 am on Tues -18/07/23, at Sattavis Patidar Centre.
6). We are happy to announce that our Website : http://www.nvk.org.uk is now fully operational and all our previous Newsletters, Announcements, and Photos of Programmes are now uploaded on the Site.
