1). President – Vinod Parekh announced : i) Bournemouth tour – All joining in the tour please come to the Kenton Library by 8.45 am. Coach will come by 9.00 am and don't forget to carry your Freedom Pass. First day's light snacks at lunch and water Bottles are sponsored. Collect your seat tickets from the Main Desk (However please do give priority to elderly people to seat in the front seats). Dr. Vinodbhai Kapashi will be the Leader
ii) At Tea Time, we repeat that everyone must stay in their seats and volunteers will come to serve the same to you. Do not rush to the serving Tables at the Kitchen.

In the afternoon session of Cultural Programme, we have Music from 1.45 to 3.30pm which is sponsored by Neenaben and Anilbhai Bhuva. Yoga will be finished by 12.20 pm. 2). Today's Warm-up Yoga was conducted by Ushaben Mehta and main Yoga by Manishaben. She conducted many Yogic poses for toning up most of the body joints, stressing how to do the same correctly and informed its health benefits. She gave health tips also. Many thanks to both from NVK.
3). DONATIONS : * Today's lunch is sponsored by Sudhaben Vinodbhai Kapashi to celebrate the birthday of Dr. Vinodbhai Kapashi, OBE, which is on Sun – 23/07/23. Purnimaben Meswani and Ramaben Doshi were called to the stage to sing the “Happy Birthday” song - “Bar bar Ye din aaye......”. Everyone joined in singing together. NVK's Best Wishes and we pray that he will enjoy many more birthdays to come.

4). After lunch today, we will have a very interesting Bingo game with entertaining questions in-between.

(Today's Lunch Menu included “Keri No Raas”, Puri, Vati Daar na Bhajia - famously known to East Africans as 'Bhadali Na Bhajia' with topra chutney, Chora nu saakh etc )
The Bingo game started at 2.15 pm as the catering for lunch had arrived late. Praful Shah was the Bingo Master and Dr Vinodbhai Kapashi joined in between with amazing questions on the numbers called. Many members gave answers and Vinodbhai Kapashi with his vast knowledge gave interesting details of the various numbers in our life, its forgotten history and its connotation with religion. Members even came to stage to sing the songs connected with the numbers.
Three prizes were given and everyone had enjoyed the programme and kept on asking that they wanted to have more of this type of Bingo.
5). 6). Navnat Vanik Association has organised a Gujarati play -“Bapuji Varghode Chadhiya” at Hayes on Sat – 29/07/23 with lunch from 12.30 to 2.00pm and play from 2.00 to 5.00 pm. For tickets – Nitinbhai Savadia will be sitting in the Foyer during Lunch.
