1). President - Vinod Parekh announced : i) We welcome all members Guests who have joined us today's Bhajans & Kirtan programme. We hope you will enjoy our hospitality.
ii) We thank the Gandhi Parivar for sponsoring todays' Lunch and the afternoon programme arranged in memory of Dr.Anilkumar Gandhi. I would like to add here that the late Doctor was a great supporter of music and he really enjoyed it. I would like to give just one example when we had our Diwali Dhamaka programme at Blue Room, he was there in his Wheel Chair. When the Dance floor was opened, he manoeuvred his Wheel Chair in the packed Hall in between the Tables and reached the Floor swinging his Wheel Chair with the music and enjoying . I was happy - if you have the will you are there. We pray for his soul to rest in peace.
iii) The Musicians for today's Bhajans and Kirtans are Atulbhai and Neetaben Kanabar. We plan to start the programme at 1.45 pm and we need your support to finish your lunch in time. We have requested Meera Caterers to bring the lunch a little early. Gandhi family & Guests will come first in the Queue for Lunch.
iv) As announced before we have already started to issue Tickets for the Full day Musical programme on 7th March. Please collect your Table List from Purnimaben Mehta and return as soon as possible if you have got the 10 members on your table. Table numbers will be given on 29/02/24. For the new members, just to quickly brief you on our System. (you have to get 10 members whom you would wish to sit together on your Table and complete the list ).
v) We have announced several times not to throw your used Chaas or Tea glass still containing some liquid or empty their glasses in the Dust Bins with Black Bags We request that you do not pour any liquid into the Bins as it not only makes the Bin very heavy but the liquid is spilt all over the Hall and Kitchen.
2).Today's Warm up Yoga was done by Vijaybhai M. Shah and the main Yoga by Manishaben. She conducted many Yogic poses to tone ups body joints, muscles and Breathing exercises, giving their health benefits. She stressed on doing the poses correctly. Many thanks to both from NVK
3). DONATIONS : a). £101 from Suryakant Laxmichand Mehta in loving memory of his late wife - Vanitaben Mehta who passed away last month. We pray for her soul to rest in eternal peace. Many thanks from NVK.
b) £25 from Pamiben Derodra who celebrated her birthday on 12/02/24. Many thanks from NVK and we pray that she will enjoy many more birthdays to come.
4). We closed the Yoga session a little early today at 12.15 pm so that everyone can enjoy the Bhajans & Kirtan programme which will start at 1.45 pm. Members are requested to be aware of the tight timescales for the lunch rounds and are requested to release table spaces for others at the lunch tables.
5). As usual at Tea Time, NVK will provide Tea/Coffee and the sponsored Biscuits.

The afternoon programme started at 1.40 pm with the Musicians - Atulbhai & Neetaben Kanabar starting with prayers and continued with devotional songs. The Hall was full with members and Guests.
The duo sang many Top Bhajans & Kirtans which were very popular and members really appreciated the tunes with music and some also sang the lyrics with them. The Hall was packed full with embers who had stayed behind for the programme and enjoyed the melodious voices of the Duo in silence.
The wonderful devotional songs went on until 3.30 pm when the programme was closed. Many thanks from NVK for the musical Duo for their highly entertaining music.
6). On Thurs - 22/02/24 we will have a special programme to celebrate Valentine Day. Full details will be given soon but keep your red roses ready.
7). Secretary -Purnimaben Mehta announced about the seating arrangements on the 7th March programme and requested members to appoint a Leader of their Table and he/she should come and pick the Form to complete the names of the 10 members seating on their Table. Table numbers will be picked by the Leaders on 29/02/24 by lucky lottery. She also announced the new Digital system and quoted an incident when a member lost her card in Brent Cross. The finder noticed the contact number and she got her card back. She thus saved the cost of preparing another card.
