NAVJIVAN VADIL KENDRA – ANNOUNCEMENTS ON THURS –12/7
1). Today’s Warm-up Yoga was performed by Dineshbhai Shah and Manishaben conducted Yogic exercises for legs and back. Many thanks to both from Kendra.
2). DONATIONS : * £75 from Manjuben N Patwa who celebrated her 75th birthday last Saturday. Our Heartiest congratulations and wish she enjoys many more to come. * £51 from Champaben S Mehta who celebrated her birthday on 10/7. Our Heartiest congratulations and wish her good health.
3). After lunch today, we will have a very interesting programme – “Kaun Banega NVK Master”. Please stay and witness who becomes the Master and goes with a trophy. Jasuben Sheth gave details of how the game will be played. As usual at Tea time, Kendra will serve tea and biscuits.
Our first attempt of holding this game was a great success. Many members stayed to see how the game was played . 6 members took part and the winner (NVK Master) was- Jasuben Mehta and the Runner-up was Jayshreeben Doshi. Both winners were presented with trophies. Special thanks to Jasuben Sheth and Dr Vinodbhai Kapashi for organising this outstanding contest. Well done keep it up.
4). Once again our thanks to Hiteshbhai Mistry, for taking classes on the use of Smart phones. Today around 12/15 members were taught. Many thanks to him from Kendra. Wonderful job.
5). Under our project : “Seva Care”, we had our 3rd visit yesterday in the year and went to Karuna Manor in Harrrow. 3 Seva committee members and 3 other members had joined in the visit which was a great success. We had good support from the Management. We carried out several activities like Jain Stavans, pass the parcel, quiz and a short play in Swahili.
There were 25 residents and they all joined in the activities. It was something different for them and they had smiles on their faces as we finished the programme. Later we all joined for lunch. Our special thanks to the co-ordinator – Purnimaben Mehta for organising such a successful visit. Keep it up.
6). Our Isle of Wight trip from 23/7 – all who are joining, please note our pick-up point and drop-off will be Sainsburys Super store in Kenton, behind Rams Restaurant. All should be there by 11.15 am. We will depart at 11.30am. Keep your luggage light as there is no porterage. Kendra will provide light lunch. More details will be given on the Coach.
