Nimaben Kakad gave a thought for the day.

1.   After lunch today we have Dr. Sunita Sharma, a gynaecologist, who will talk and discuss health problems of ladies in this Hall and gents can play cards  in the upstairs room taking care not to make noise and disturb other programmes and as usual at Tea Time, Kendra will provide tea and biscuits.

2.  Next Thursday, we will have a Quiz programme.

3. The film at Cineworld, Wembley in London Designer Centre on Monday 28th April at 11.00 am is GULAB GANG – starring Juhi Chawla and Madhuri Dixit. Kendra members will pay £3 to watch this movie.

4. We had to cancel the trip to Leeds Castle in Kent because there was not enough response.
Instead we have planned a trip to the SHARD – which is the tallest building in London, where we can go to the top and have a panoramic view of London. We will be travelling by London Underground.  The cost to the top of the Shard is £25 pp and we need to book in advance so payment has to be made by today only.
There is a wonderful Borough Market in that area and we can wander in the market and enjoy some Indian food made in the market. This trip will be on Tuesday 29th April. (THIS HAS NOW BEEN POSTPONED OWING TO TUBE DRIVERS GOING ON STRIKE)

5. On 4th May 33 participants go to Manor House for 5 nights 6 days. We will be departing from Harrow Leisure Centre at 9.00 am sharp.

6. In June 22 participants go on a cruise of Iceland on Queen Victoria.  If more wish to join, they will be taken only if cabins are available.

7.  We hope all who attended the gujarati comedy natak on 19th April had a very enjoyable time.

8. The AGM of N.V.A. of UK will be held on Sunday 27th April at 2.15pm at Hayes and  Navnat members are requested to attend the meeting to enable important changes to be passed for the betterment of the community.

9. Last year Tarlaben Doshi had come to UK to give lectures.  This year too she will give lectures at the Jain Centre Collindale from 7.00 to 9.00 pm from Friday 25th to Monday 28th April.  All are invited.  Further information from Avantilal Jasani.

10.  National Council of Vanik Associations will be celebrating 35 year celebration with an entertainment programme for the whole family at Leicester on Sunday 22nd June from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm. Tkts are £5.  Further information from Manharbhai Mehta or Ramesh Shah.

11.  A lecture on the occasion of the centennial birth celebration of prominent Jain Acharya – Acharya Tulsi is being held on Saturday, 26th April from 3.00 to 5.00 pm at the Brunei Gallery Theatre.

12.   Everyone is requested to sign in the Register and Guests are requested to obtain guest pass from Vinod Parekh.

13.  Jasuben Sheth announced that since the Mothers Day programme was well appreciated by all, the next programme will be a discussion on “ Parnela sukhi ke Kunwara”. She requested members to prepare for this.
