NAVJIVAN VADIL KENDRA – ANNOUNCEMENTS ON THURS – 1st SEPT 2022
1). President - Vinod Parekh welcomed everybody and said that the Jains have completed the Paryushan festivities and he wished 'sukh saata' to all the Tapsvis. He also said that there were still a few places left in our trip to Scotland and clarified that we are still trying to see that all who have joined, stay in the same hotel. If this is not possible then accommodation will be given in another hotel.
2). Paryushan celebrations were completed yesterday and all who performed any type of Taap, I sincerely wish them 'sukh saata and wish ' khub khub Anumodna'. Michhami Dukdam' to all if I have knowingly or unknowingly hurt the feelings of anyone.
3). Today's Warm-up Yoga was done by Dineshbhai T Shah and the main Yoga by Manishaben, who did Yogic poses to strengthen most of the joints in the body.
4). DONATIONS : (i) £ 51 from Jasuben Mehta on the occasion of her grand-son - son of Vinesh & Priti - obtaininig A stars in all the subjects at A-Levels exam.
(ii) £ 51 from Kiranben and Nitinbhai Patel on the occasion of their grand-daughter - Roma Viral Mehta achieving all A's & A* in her GCSE exam.
Kendra's heartiest congratulations to all above for their splendid results. Many thanks for their donations.
5). We are pleased to announce that this afternoon at around 2.00 pm, we will have an interesting spiritual talk from well known disciples of Param Gurudev Shree Namramuni Maharaj Saheb of India - Purvididi and Jinitbhai, who have been sharing their vast knowledge at the Navnat Vanik Association, Hayes during Paryushan. Also for information : our Vice President - Vinodbhai Kapashi has interviewed Shree Namramuni before.
At Tea Time, NVK will serve tea and biscuits.
(The disciples came on time with NVA's Representatives and who introduced them. Both the disciples gave a very interesting and informative talk on our lives in the society, citing examples and how a person should behave. There was a question and answer session where many members took part. President Vinod Parekh gave thanks to the NVA and the disciples )
6). Next Thursday - 8th Sept we will have Yoga in the morning session and at 2.00 pm we will have our AGM as already notified and full reports from the President, Secretary, Treasurer will be given, Accounts presented. AOB etc. Present Committee will be dissolved and nominations will be taken for the Committee members. On Tuesday, 13thSept, all the Nominees names will be announced and if necessary election will take place. Names of elected committee will be announced and the newly elected President will give his message.
7). President Vinod Parekh announced that as everybody is feeling the massive rise in cost of living with energy bills. If however, any member is finding difficulty in settling the energy bill, the person should approach our Committee Member - Chimanbhai Sheth for help.
