ANNOUNCEMENTS ON THURSDAY 10th DECEMBER 2015

1).Today our full day Health programme started from 10.45 am. There was no Yoga. Our first speaker was: Consultant Cardiologist – Dr Ameet Bakhai from Royal Free Trust. He came with his mother and wife, who took several photos and videos. He gave a very informative and interesting talk, using a projector and slides, on “How to deal with the diagnosis of heart failure”.
This talk was very impressive as it was interactive and everyone tried to join him in answering every question he posed during his talk. He had brought some latest mobile equipment for testing heart and asked for a guinea pig. I volunteered and thus had the fastest appointment with an expert to check my heart.
There was an interesting question and answer session, but unfortunately Ameetbhai had to go early as he received a call. We regret that we could not take several other members questions.
Dr Pragnaben thanked Ameetbhai for his brilliant presentation and called our President – Baburai Shah, who also briefly thanked Ameetbhai and presented him with a token of appreciation.

The second speaker was Varshaben Dodhia who gave a talk on “mental wellbeing” in old age – again with the help of a projector and slides. She continued up-to lunch time, when there was a break lunch. She was also thanked by Pragnaben and presented with a token of appreciation.

The prayer was recited by Jasuben Sheth and announcements made.

After lunch the talk of Varshaben continued with Questions/Answers and discussion session and as usual at Tea Time, Kendra provided tea and biscuits.

2). DONATIONS : We had two couples who were celebrating their anniversary today – Vanlilaben and Sharadbhai Mehta and Dr. Pragnaben and Yashwantrai Mandalia. Everyone wished them happy anniversary and prayed that they enjoy many more anniversaries to come.
Vanlilaben and Sharadbhai donated £51 and Dr. Pragnaben and Yashwantrai had arranged this whole day health programme for the wellbeing of all members. Our heartiest thanks to Dr. Pragnaben for arranging such wonderful health programmes for members. Please Keep up the good work.

Jyotiben Gandhi celebrated her birthday today and everyone joined in singing the Happy Birthday song and wished her that she celebrate many more birthdays to come.
