ANNOUNCEMENTS ON THURSDAY 10th SEPTEMBER 2015

1).H.R.H. Queen Elizabeth II has become Britain’s longest reigning monarch after she surpassed the record of 63 years and 216 days on throne set by her great-great-grandmother –Queen Victoria.  Our heartiest congratulations and we pray that she will always be ‘Happy and Glorious’ and ‘Long to reign over us’

2).  Jain’s ‘Mahaparva - Paryushan’ has started from today and several religious activities have been arranged by various Jain organisations.  We hope Jains will take opportunity to attend these.

3).  Today’s Yoga was conducted by Bhavnaben and everybody liked her different style of Yoga teaching which stressed on laughing and smiling in all positions.

4). DONATIONS :    £50 from Indiraben and Dhirubhai Galani on the occasion of the marriage of their daughter – Zoe.  Kendra’s thanks and heartiest congratulations to the newly wedded couple. 

5). After lunch today we will have our member – Harshadbhai Sanghrajka  to give us a talk         and as usual at Tea Time, Kendra will serve tea and biscuits.

6). Next Thurs -17th we will meet as usual, there will be a sponsored lunch and dance programme after lunch. Please raise your hands if you are NOT going to attend so that we know how much to cater. 

7).  We are planning a trip to Manor House starting from Sun- 4th Oct to Fri – 9th Oct.  If we book soon, we will get extra discount.  If only few names are received, we will travel by cars. The cost will be around £300 to 325pp (two sharing a room). Exact cost will be worked out later. If you are interested in joining, please give your names with cheque of £200 pp to Pragnaben Mandalia.  For more details contact our Secretary – Jayantbhai.

8).  There is a Friendship matinee at the Royal Albert Hall on Fri – 9th Oct at 3 pm for the show-  50 years of James Bond movies music by Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.  Price is &6pp payable in advance for members and non- members. 9)  We have booked a Yoga Retreat from 11th to 16th July 2016.  Jayantbhai and other members went to see this venue and it is wonderful.  If you are interested, then please register your name with Jayantbhai.

10).  Please do remember to join the SAINSBURY’S scheme whereby NVK will get 4% on the gross amount of the shopping.  For more details or clarification contact Jayantbhai Doshi or Baburai Shah.

11).  To commemorate Mahatma Gandhiji’s birthday on Fri – 2nd Oct, the Gita Foundation and the National Association of Patidar Samaj in association with various community and faith organisations has organised ‘Gandhi peace walk’. The walk supported by the Indian High Commission will be from Tavistock Square Gardens at 11.30 am to Parliament Square is a special event organised along the principles followed by Baupji to promote world peace to end terrorism.

12) We keep on repeating, but we have to remind members to park their cars in proper Parking Bays only and not anywhere else.  Also do not block any cars.

13).  Mahavir Fondation has organised following religious activities : Everyday at 11.00 am there will be lecture by a scholar from India at the Kenton Deraser. Every evening there will be ‘Pratikraman and Bhavna sangit at the Kingsbury High School.  On Sun- 6th at 4.00 pm there is a special religious show on stage by children, followed by Dinner and Pratikraman & Bhavna.
Next Thurs- 17th- Samvastri pratikraman will be at Sattavis Patidar Centre at 4.00 pm and the Sthankvashi pratikraman will be at Masefield Suite at the Harrow Leisure Centre on Fri-18th at 5.00pm.  Swami Vatsalya lunch on Sun- 13th at Kingsbury H.S.  NOTE; Entrance to Kingsbury High School will be through Bacon Lane.

14). Everyone, including guests, are requested to sign in the Register at the Entrance Table and Guests are requested to obtain their Pass.
