1). President - Vinod Parekh announced : * We request those members who are facing the Stage and performing Yoga by, both keeping a chair for themselves and their belongings and doing Yoga with mats. This is now not possible due to many members coming to our gatherings due to good weather.  Henceforth no one will be allowed to occupy both the chair and also the mat.  You have to choose either use the mat only or do chair Yoga only so that more members can do Yoga.
*The arrangements for the lunch to be served to disabled is working well.  Disabled should only come to the Reserved tables when their line is called at Lunch time queue. There will now be three Tables reserved for the Disabled.
*Our Day Picnic to Brighton and Crawley has still some places to be filled.  We are now taking Guests also.  If you still want to join, please give your names with payment to Hasubhai Mandalia at the Main Desk.  Also it is advisable to bring your folding chair with you and keep it in the Coach as we will be going to the seaside where we will spend some time.  From next week all who have joined in the trip should collect their Tickets for either Coach 1 or 2 - from the Secretary - Purnimaben Mehta at the Main Desk.  So you can go to the correct Coach at the Kenton Library and sit inside.  Dial -a -ride members please note collection time after return from picnic will be around 6.30  to 7.00 pm. 
*Our Thanks to Meenaben Shah for arrangement at the entrance on Coronation theme.  Also thanks to Manjuben Pindoria for bringing the flower pot arrangement.
*We have noticed that Ladies are lifting chairs when they see all places are occupied. For safety reasons, please request our Volunteers to help you.
*All Members must note that access to the Kitchen is only for the Kitchen Volunteers and also it should not be used as short cut to the Parking Bays. No one is allowed to pass through because of safety reasons and slippery floor etc.
*We repeat again that if there is any complaint to be raised to Sattavis Patidar Centre, please inform the President/Secretary/Treasurer.  No one is allowed to go direct to the Sattavis Management.

2). Today's Warm-up Yoga was done by Ushaben Mehta and the main Yoga by Manishaben. She conducted several Yogic poses to tone up body joints correctly after explaining its benefits. Thanks to both from NVK.
For the information of members - Scientists have now claimed that simply inhaling for a count of five and exhaling for a count of five can benefit your brain and cut your risk of being struck down by Alzhimer's .  Manishaben and other members have always conducted these Yogic practices for our benefit.


3). Sad News - It is with a heavy heart and deep sadness that we inform of the passing away of our member - VASUMATIBEN RAMESCHANDRA SHAH - Age 76 - on 07/05/23.  On behalf of all members of NVK, we offer our sincere condolences to the family of late Vasumatiben and pray to Lord Mahavir to rest the deceased's soul in eternal peace and gives courage to the family to bear the loss with fortitude.  She had joined Kendra from this year and had been attending our gatherings regularly.  Her daughter - Divyaben Parekh sent a message that she really enjoyed the time she came to our programmes and made lovely friends during the short time she attended here.  It was something she looked forward to every week.            OM SHANTI             SHANTI            SHANTI
Our sincere apology for not doing the one minute silence to pray for her soul.
(The family has arranged a Bhajan and Prathna at the Swaminarayan Temple, Stanmore from 7.45 to 9.30 pm this evening - It will also be on Zoom - Meeting ID 897 3984 0968 - Passcode  - 861681 ).

4). DONATIONS : I) “Chaas” for the month of May is sponsored in memory of late Shardaben Jayantilal Shah, who was our member, by her son Seju and daughter in law – Pritiben Shah. Kendra's many thanks and we pray for her soul to rest in eternal peace.
ii) A large box of Cream Biscuits from Krishnaben and Kirit Mehta. Many thanks from NVK.

III) £25 from Ramanlal R Mehta on the occasion of his wife - Kantaben's birthday .  Many thanks from NVK and we pray that she enjoy many more birthdays to come.
iv). £31 from Chandrikaben and Lalitbhai B Mehta on the occasion of their 43rd Wedding Anniversary which is today.  NVK's many thanks and we pray that they will both enjoy many more Anniversaries to come.

5). After lunch today, we will have a programme on your experiences on foreign holidays. Dr. Vinodbhai Kapashi will give full details on the programme later.
At Tea Time, NVK will serve Tea, Coffee and the sponsored Biscuits.   
(Today's Menu for lunch included : "Chhuti Bundi", Bhel, Kachori, Biryani etc )    

The afternoon programme started a little late because of the late delivery of lunch menu.  Dr. Vinodbhai Kapashi gave a talk on experiences on holiday travels overseas.

Then many members came forward to the stage to talk on their personal experiences - bad or good - on their holidays abroad.  They stated what had happened there or how interesting the  Adventure was.

Many members stayed behind for this interesting programme.  It was amazing to hear their personal experiences.   

6).  Next Thurs - 18/05/23 we will have a programme of Stavans and Bhajans.

7).  Dr. Vinodbhai Kapashi gave details of the afternoon programme and requested more members can come forward to give their experiences.
Next week - 18/05/23, we will have a programme of Stavans and Bhajans
On 25/05/23, we will have a programme of "NVK has got Talents".  - Please come forward and show your talent - like Dancing, Singing, Playing Musical Instruments, Art, Cooking etc.  But you have to give your name in advance
