1). The warm up Yoga today was conducted by Jasuben Sheth and Ushaben Mehta gave health tips on certain pains and the pressure points. Thanks to both of them from Kendra. We also welcome back Manishaben who was on holiday and hope her family members are all well. She conducted several new Yoga poses that are highly beneficial to our bodies. Many thanks to her.

2). DONATIONS : * Today’s lunch is sponsored by Jyotiben Dhirajlal Shah in memory of her late husband – Dhirajlal Jeshang Narshi Shah and her late mother – Chanchalben Nanubhai Patel. Also she will be celebrating her birthday this week so let us wish her and join in singing ‘Happy Birthday’ song. Our congratulations and Best Wishes to her and pray that she enjoys many more birthdays to come. She had also brought ‘Jalebi’ and ‘sev mamra’ which were in addition to the lunch menu.
* £25 from Manormaben Chandulal Parekh for the next week’s Childrens’ Christmas Party. Kendra’s many thanks to her.

3). After lunch today, we will have Bingo games and as usual at Tea Time, Kendra provided tea and biscuits.

4). Remember, next week we are meeting on Wednesday -23rd and not Thursday because of Christmas Eve. On that day, we will have our usual Yoga and after lunch we are having a Christmas Party for members’ grand-children when Father Christmas will come and give presents to the children. Member’s grand-children should be under 12 years old. As the party is after lunch, members should bring their grand-children after 12 noon and look after their children and ensure that they do not disturb while Yoga is being conducted and they do not play in the foyer. Other children will be charged £5. Please ensure to give the names and ages of the children you will be bringing to Jauben or Ellaben Shah.

5). Last Thursday we had a very interesting and highly successful whole day health programme, and over 200 members had arrived early and took part in the interactive presentation by Cardiologist - Dr Ameet Bakhai on “How to deal with diagnosis of heart failure” followed by Varshaben Dodhia’s talk on “Mental wellbeing in old age”. All the credit goes to Dr. Pragnaben Mandalia, who has time and again organised such programmes. Our thanks and request to keep it up.

6). Please note that those members who have not renewed their membership for 2016, their membership will expire on 31st Dec and they will no longer be members.

7). Remember there will be no gathering on Thurs – 31st Dec –New Year’s Eve, when we remain closed and we will meet again in the New Year on 7th January.

8). Everyone, including all guests, are requested to sign the Register at the Entrance Main Table and Guests should obtain their Passes.

9). Jasuben Sheth announced that we had already received over 50 grand children’s names and hence we have now stopped taking any more names. She also suggested if this programme will be a success, next year we will perhaps keep a whole day Christmas Party. She also said that Yoga will start at 10.45 am and will end early, so please come in time. There will be a special lunch for children and if any child has some allergy, their grand parent should inform Kendra.

10) Vinod Parekh announced that next week’s Children’s Christmas Party on Wednesday for members grand- children will be the first time Kendra is holding such event and the total number of names received is 57. He reiterated that since there will be Yoga and some members will bring their grand-children with them, they should take care of them and ensure that they maintain complete silence and do not create any disturbance. Should they be uncomfortable, then the members should take them out of the Hall.
Further The Patidar Centre does not allow any children to play in the foyer and members should take particular note of this. The party will start after lunch and everybody should note that neither the Kendra nor Patidar Centre will be responsible for any incidents/injuries etc, their grand- children may be involved in. Hence their parents or grand-parents should take all necessary care and protection for them.

There will be games and special food for children. However their special needs should be arranged by their parents. Kendra will not be responsible for any food allergies etc.

The original instructions to bring the children after 12 noon was taken in the children’s best interests, because if they come early and are told to maintain complete silence they may get bored or tired because they may have to spend several hours doing nothing. If they come early and create no disturbance, that is fine.
