Our Secretary – Jayantbhai Doshi informed members that the lunch is sponsored by Surendrabhai to celebrate the 80th birthday of his brother Yashwantrai which was last week. Congratulations to Yashwantrai from Kendra and pray that he enjoys many more birthdays to come. Everyone joined in singing the Happy Birthday and ‘Bar bar ye din aaye’ songs.
Jayantbhai also mentioned that Kendra had received the Queens Award mainly because of the good work done by the volunteers. He praised Yashwantrai as one of such volunteers who is always present till the end in the kitchen when others are enjoying the programmes. On behalf of Kendra, the President- Baburai and himself, he said ‘Micchami Dukdam’ to all the members if at any time anyone’s feelings had been hurt. He also said that since last week many members have been celebrating Paryushan parva and taking part in various activities and he wished all good ‘satta’.

2). After lunch today we will have a dance programme by Herbie sponsored by Surendrabhai Mandalia to celebrate his brother’s birthday. Herbie will perform an hour’s dances portraying Lord Ganesh. As usual at Tea Time, Kendra will serve tea and biscuits
3). Next Thurs -24th we will have a talk and demonstration by Arunbhai on the amazing benefits of Himalayan crystal salt to health.
4). We have planned a trip to Manor House from Sun- 4th Oct to Fri – 9th Oct. If you are interested in joining, please give your names with cheque of £200 pp to Pragnaben Mandalia. For more details contact our Secretary – Jayantbhai.
5). There is a Friendship matinee at the Royal Albert Hall on Fri – 9th Oct at 3 pm for the show- 50 years of James Bond movies music by Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. 6) We have booked a Yoga Retreat from 11th to 16th July 2016. Jayantbhai and other members went to see this venue and it is wonderful. If you are interested, then please register your name with Jayantbhai.
7). Please note that : *as our Hindu New Year falls on Thurs – 12th Nov, we will be meeting on Wed – 11th Nov. * Christmas falls on Friday so Thursday is Christmas Eve, hence we will meet on Wed – 23rd Dec. * We will be closed on Thurs – 31st Dec
