NAVJIVAN VADIL KENDRA- ANNOUNCEMENTS ON THURS - 18TH AUG 2016
We wish all members a Happy ‘Rakshabandhan Day’ and also wish all the parents/grand-parents that their siblings have got good results in GCE and other exams.   (Our Manishaben’s son has done BTec in Business and IT and has achieved the grades of Distinction and 2 Merits.  Kendra’s Heartiest congratulations to the proud parents and the family for such wonderful achievement).
1). DONATIONS:  * Today’s lunch is sponsored by Vinodbhai Udani in loving memory of his late wife – Arunaben Vinodrai Udani.  Vinodbhai has infact remembered NVK every time he comes for a visit to UK and last year he had donated £500 to Kendra in memory of Arunaben.  Kendra’s Heartiest thanks and Best Wishes.
     * £50 from Sushilaben and Chhotalal Kothari in celebration of  the birthday of Chhotalal, celebrated recently.  Kendra’s congratulations and Best Wishes to them and pray that he enjoys many more birthdays to come.
     *£25 from Kanchanben N Mehta, who is celebrating her birthday today. Everyone joined in singing the Happy Birthday song for her and we pray that she enjoys many more birthdays to come.
2). After lunch today we have programmes for ‘Janmasthmi’ as well as ‘Raksha Bandhan’ and as usual at Tea Time, Kendra will provide the sponsored Tea and Biscuits.
The programme was very entertaining and eye catching with members wearing colourful costumes to sing songs, garbas etc and all the time a member provided music with ‘Dhol’.  Well done all members – keep it up.

3). As informed please note we will not meet next Thurs -25th Aug but we will meet on Tues – 23rd Aug.  We are having a full day Summer Musical Programme by Kismet Entertainment Group on this day and there will be no Yoga. There is going to be a sitting lunch and all members should register by getting a ticket for £1 from the main desk at the entrance.  Guests are welcome but notifications must be made early and on payment of £15.  The music will start at 11.00 am. Please note no children allowed on that day and all tickets must be obtained and late booking will not be entertained.  There will be no walking group gathering also.

4).  We have announced about the game of Bowling – which is a wonderful and enjoyable game for the elderly and retired persons.  We have emailed to members a flyer from the Century Bowling and Sports Club, Wembley, who are holding a Bowls Open Day on Sat – 3rd Sept from 2.00 to 5.00 pm and if you are interested, they will offer free coaching.  This particular club has Indoor and Outdoor facilities allowing ‘all year round’ use. 
5).  Jayantbhai Doshi announced the benefits of playing the Bowling game which is quite popular with the elderly and requested  that if 3rd Sept is not suitable, then you can come some other time. Interested members to give their names to email: jubhai@aol.com

6).  Jasuben Sheth announced the details of the programme after lunch and also informed members that in future a Cricket programme will be arranged in the Hall and interested members should give their names to her or Ellaben Shah..
