NAVJIVAN VADIL KENDRA- ANNOUNCEMENTS ON 21st APRIL 2016
1). Today is the 90th birthday of H.M. Queen Elizabeth II and we wish Her Majesty a very Happy Birthday and pray that she lives long to reign over us. We are indeed happy to note that H.M. has reached this milestone and is still very active in Royal duties and is the longest serving Monarch in Great Britain’s history.
2).  DONATIONS :  * At Tea Time we will be serving eggless cakes sponsored on the occasion of the birthday of our Vice President – Vinod Parekh, which was on 18th April. Kundanben and their son – Anish decided to celebrate the occasion with Kendra members.  Our heartiest congratulations to Vinod and pray that he enjoys many more birthdays to come.    * £151 from Hasmukh and the late Pranlal Parekh family in loving memory of his late father – Pranlalkaka ( who was our past President).  Many thanks to the family from Kendra.
3). Today, Manishaben conducted several Yogic exercises to improve health problems in our internal organs.  Many thanks to her from Kendra
4).  After lunch today, we will have a programme to celebrate H.M. Queen’s birthday.  We will also have special celebrations for the Walking Group.  There will be a special lunch.
A lunch of ‘Keri no Ras’, puri, dal bhagia etc were in the menu and this was enjoyed by all.
Jasuben Sheth had organised a wonderful celebration for the H.M.’s birthday.  Everyone joined in singing the National Anthem and prayed for her health and longevity to reign over us.
Members recited several poems in praise of H.M. and there was dancing where many joined in.  This was followed by Pragnaben Mandalia, who gave a talk on the Walking Group and every member of the group was presented a gift.   Jayantbhai Doshi then made the closing remarks thanking and praising all the volunteers who made the programme so lively.
5). Next Thurs – 28th we will have a talk by Ratna Prabhu from Delhi Rajchandra Mission.
6).  All the ground floor tickets for the Gujarati natak by Kiran Purohit -  “Beh Beh wife pun Ekaj life” on Sun – 15th May at the Federation of Pattidar Association, London Road, Wembley, at 12 noon have been sold out.  If you are interested, please book your tickets for the upstairs rows.  
7).  We are highly pleased that Age UK has yet again offered us the wonderful chance to visit the famous Lords Cricket Ground to see the Memories Match between Middlesex and Somerset on Sun – 22nd May.   Only members above 55 years of age can go and if you are interested, please register your full names (as on your ID) by 6th May latest. The match is a chance for people aged 55 and over to talk about old and create some new memories all while watching cricket.  It is an opportunity to meet like-minded new people over a cup of tea at the home of cricket.  You can also visit the MCC Museum for £1 to see the history of cricket.
8). Yoga Retreat – from 11th to 16th July at Pastoral Centre, Fareham Hampshire.  Only a few spaces now left.
9).  Our member – Surbhiben Khona has been elected as the President of Navnat Vadil Mandal.  Our heartiest congratulations to her.
10). Everyone, including guests present today are requested to sign in the Register at the main Table.  Guests should obtain their passes.
11). Our Hon. Secretary – Jayantbhai Doshi gave details of our 10th Anniversary programme to be held next year.  He informed that this will be a grand occasion which will be held at a good location on Tues – 14th Feb 2017.  A special souvenir will be published on the occasion and all members were requested to try and get advertisements and also submit any articles.
