NAVJIVAN VADIL KENDRA – ANNOUNCEMENTS - THURS – 25th AUG 2022
1). The President - Vinod Parekh welcomed all members and said "Paryushan" started from yesterday and wished the Jain members 'sukh sata'. He also informed that today's lunch is Jain food with 'Matoke saakh', puri, maag bhaat and Gulab Jamun.
He informed members of the Scotland Trip - we have already received 32 names and we still have a few vacancies and requested for more names to fill the coach.
2). Today there was no warm-up Yoga and Main Yoga was conducted by Manishaben. She started with Yogic poses for all the muscles on top torso of the body and later on for all body joints, giving tips on how to improve the leg joints at home. She also explained the toning of the back and leg joints at home with support of the wall. Many thanks from NVK.
3). With great sadness we have to inform members of the passing away of our member - HARIKANT DHIRAJLAL VIBHAKAR - age 81 on 20/08/2022. He was the husband of our member - JASUMATIBEN VIBHAKAR. On behalf of all members we send our heartfelt condolences to the family of late Harikantbhai and pray to Lord Krishna that the deceased's soul rest in eternal peace and that the family to bear the loss with fortitude. We will observe a minute's silence to pray for his soul.

4). DONATIONS :(i) £51 from Pratimaben Mandalia - her grand-daughter : Esha Shah achieved 3 A *** in A levels and grand-son -Rohan Shah for achieving 8 subjects : 9, one -A and 1 -A **
(ii) £51 from Hansaben and Surendra Mandalia - their grand-son : Dilan achieved9Astars & 1 A in his GCSE. He is also celebrating his birthday today.
Kendra's heartiest congratulations to both the families and also happy birthday to Dilan.
5). As already announced last week, "Paryushan" has started from yesterday hence we will have lunch but no afternoon programme.
6). Next Thursday - 1st Sept we will meet and have Yoga and then lunch. Afternoon programme will be announced before lunch.
7). As already informed to members that we have organised a 4nights/5days trip to Scotland beginning on 19th Sept. The charge to members is £440 pp (2 adults sharing) - Non-Members : £450 pp. Single Supplement will be additional £100 on top of the above charge. If you are interested in joining, please give your name to the Front Desk.
8). As you all know our AGM will be held on two Thursdays - 8th and 15th Sept. If you are interested and willing to devote time to serve in the Committee, you will have to complete a Nomination Form.

10). Just for your information the Bollywood inspired dance drama extravaganza - Beyond Bollywood - is back after a long time at the Peacock Theatre from 24th Aug to 3rd Sept. All their previous shows named Merchants of Bollywood were very successful.
