NAVJIVAN VADIL KENDRA- ANNOUNCEMENTS ON THURS-28th JAN ‘16
1). Kendra’s many thanks to Manishaben for her health tips. Please also note that we are going to write all the health tips in English and Gujarati and circulate by email and also put on our Website.
2). After lunch, we are having a splendid Health Programme on Mouth Cancer & Dental Health Promotion. Dr. Ketan Shah will give the talk on Mouth Cancer and Sapna Mandalia will do the Dental Health Promotion. There will be a question and answer session and personal consultation, if time permits. At Tea Time, Kendra will provide tea and biscuits.
A very interesting and quite informative talk was given by both above experts with the aid of projector and slides in Gujarati and English. A vote of thanks was given by Jayantbhai Doshi and Pragnaben Mandalia. Sapna Mandalia had also brought several items for promotion of Dental health. This was yet another well organised health programme by Pragnaben Mandalia.
3). Next Thurs- 4th February, we will have a programme on some games.
4). Tomorrow 18 people are going on the South America and Antarctica cruise until 22nd Feb. There are 8 Kendra members and other people joining from India and Canada. We wish them very happy holiday.
5). As announced before, we are going to have a grand 10th Anniversary programme early next year and it has been decided to produce a Souvenir to mark this occasion. We need contributions by way of articles, stories, poems from members and advertisements to cover the cost of the souvenir. We request all members to give us your support in getting adverts and submitting articles.
6). We have a Walking Group of over 30 members. Now they can get paid to walk with Bounts (points system) via a fitness tracker or your smart phone. (See full details in email).
7). We have arranged a Yoga Retreat from Mon -11th to Sat -16th July at the Pastoral Centre, Fareham, Hampshire (www.parkplacecentre.org.uk ). Only limited number of places are available, and if you are interested, you need to complete the forms and return with the £100 deposit.
8). Everyone present here, including all guests, are requested to sign the Register at the Entrance Main Table and Guests should obtain their Passes.
9). Jasuben Sheth announced that we will have a Valentine Day programme on 11th February and she needed the names of seven couples.
