ANNOUNCEMENTS ON THURSDAY 29th OCTOBER 2015

1).Manishaben will be going on holiday from next week. We wish her a happy holiday in India. Several of our members are also proceeding on holidays and we wish all of them enjoy their holidays.

2). After lunch today we will have a surprise programme and as usual at Tea Time, Kendra will serve Tea and Biscuits.

3). Remember next week we will meet on Tues -3rd Nov instead of Thurs. Please pass this message to other members.

4). Also , as our Hindu New Year falls on Thurs – 12th Nov, we will be meeting on Wed – 11th Nov- on Diwali day, when we will have a full day musical programme with live music band- Nituben Shah. We will have Musical Mehefil only and there will be no raas garba.There will be a Special menu and no Yoga on that day. A few Guests will be allowed at £15. However they should be booked in advance.

5). Please renew your membership for 2016, by submitting duly completed form with your payment of £90 to Punambhai Patwa together with your membership ID in an envelope. Remember the deadline is 15th December. If you do not intend to renew your membership, please let us know. Also please ensure to fill your current contact details in the form. To-date over 100 members have renewed their membership. Those who have already paid before should collect their receipts and cards.

6). Some members are visiting Jyotiben Shah on the death of her husband – Dhirajlal. If you wish to also join, contact Pragnaben Mandalia.

7) If you are shopping at SAINSBURY’S and would like to join in the scheme whereby NVK will get 4% on the gross amount of the shopping and if you need any help or clarification, please contact Jayantbhai Doshi or Baburai Shah.

8). Today we had a talk by Binduben on work she does for poor and needy in India and in this country. She also collects old (but useable) clothes for the poor. If any member want to give such clothes then please contact Binduben on 02087236661

9). Everyone, including guests, are requested to sign in the Register at the Entrance Table and Guests are requested to obtain their Pass.

10). Vinod Parekh announced that the Musical Mehefil on Diwali will be by Nituben Shah. He also requested members who would not be attending next Tuesday to raise their hands, so that catering arrangements can be made.(Only a few raised their hands)
