NAVJIVAN VADIL KENDRA- ANNOUNCEMENTS ON THURS – 2nd MARCH 2017
1). Today’s warm up Yoga was conducted by Jayeshbhai Shah and we had Bhavnaben to do the Yoga. She made everyone laugh in most of the exercises and everyone enjoyed the Yoga. Many thanks to both from Kendra.
2). DONATIONS : * “Chaas” for the month of March is sponsored by Chandrakanta Parmar. Kendra’s many thanks to her.
* £50 from Manjulaben Manubhai Shah, who will celebrate her 80th birthday tomorrow. Heartiest congratulations from Kendra and we pray that enjoys many more birthdays to come.
3). After lunch we will play Bingo and usual at Tea Time, Kendra will provide tea and biscuits. Today’s four Prizes were donated by Rasilaben and Prabhudasbhai Shah. Many thanks to them.
4). Next Thurs – 9th March we will have “Chai with Jasu”.
5). Our Annual General Meeting will be held this year on 6th and 13th April and we are having elections for committee members. The notice for the same has been sent in our March Newsletter. Any member interested in joining the committee and who is willing to devote time and take up responsibility, should complete the Nomination form and submit to the Secretary.
6). Newsletter for march has been emailed to members. A few hard copies are available for those who do not have access to emails.
7). Our Secretary – Jayantbhai has requested that those interested to learn how to play Bridge should go upstairs immediately after lunch. Also if you are interested in the Potters Resort trip from 12th to 16th June, the form is at the front Desk.
8). This is a reminder for the Executive Committee members, please come to the meeting here tomorrow morning in time – at 10.00am.
9). Our member –Rajnikant Sheth, also known as Lion Rajni Sheth, inspired and delivered a project of planting 33 trees last Sunday at Navnat Centre, Hayes. This was highly appreciated by the Lions District Governor Brindar Singh Nandra and all other Lions who were present at the event. Kendra’s Heartiest congratulations to Rajnikant and well done.
10). Our members – Urmilaben and Harshadray’s son – Mehool and and his wife –Arshana have been included in the Asian Power couple list of 2017. Our Heartiest congratulations to the family.
11). Neemaben and Surubhai Kakad have uploaded some nice videos of the dances at our 10th Anniversary celebration on You Tube. If you go on the web and type YouTube and Navjivan Vadil Kendra, you will see the link to MOVO 1715 to MOVO 1719. Open any of this and it automatically shows all the videos.
12). You are aware that the new law on using Mobiles whilst driving has been implemented from 1st March and the penalty is now £200 and 6 points. Also new drivers upto 2 years will have their licence cancelled if caught. Remember that the law applies even when you have stopped at the Traffic Lights or are queuing in traffic or have stopped on the side but have your engine running.
