ANNOUNCEMENTS ON THURSDAY 3rd DECEMBER 2015
1).Today, Bhavnaben conducted the Yoga by making us laugh throughout with advanced Yoga postures, thus making us sweat in this cold weather. She made us do the “ Gham maloda gham” and eat ladus etc. Everyone enjoyed the postures. Many thanks to her from Kendra.
2). DONATIONS : * ‘Chaas’ for the month of December is sponsored by Ansuyaben Bavisha and Kokilaben Sanghrajka. Many thanks from Kendra to both of them.
* ‘Penda’ during lunch time are sponsored by Bhartiben Kishorbhai Kotecha on the occasion of the engagement of her son – Tejesh’s engagement which was on 29th Nov. Our heartiest congratulations and Best Wishes to the family and also to her son.
* £25 from Ansuyaben Bavisha on her birthday. Our thanks and Best Wishes and pray that she enjoys many more birthdays.
3). After lunch today we will have a Quiz programme and as usual at Tea Time, Kendra will provide tea and biscuits. (The Quiz was interesting with groups who had to answer a set of interesting questions.)
4). Next Thur – 10th Dec, Dr. Pragnaben Mandalia has organised a full day Health event on Thurs – 10th Dec. and there will be no Yoga. We will start at 10.30 am. We have two speakers
* Consultant Cardiologist – Dr Ameet Bakhai from Royal Free Trust. He will talk on “How to deal with the diagnosis of heart failure”.
* Varshaben Dodhia who will talk on “mental wellbeing” in old age.
After lunch we will have a workshop of Question/Answers and discussion. Please arrive in time – just before 10.30 am and do not miss this very informative programme.
5). If you have not renewed your membership for 2016 please do so by submitting duly completed form with your payment of £90 to Punambhai Patwa together with your membership ID in an envelope. Remember the deadline is 15th December. If you do not intend to renew your membership, please let us know. To-date over 350 members have renewed their membership. Those who have already paid should collect their receipts and cards.
6). The Newsletter for December has been emailed to members and a few hard copies are available for those who do not have access to emails.
7). Remember we are meeting on Wed - 23rd Dec. instead of Thurs - 24th and there will be no gathering on Thurs – 31st Dec when we remain closed.
8). Everyone, including all guests, are requested to sign the Register at the Entrance Main Table and Guests should obtain their Passes.
9) Jasuben Sheth announced about the Quiz after lunch. She also informed members that on 23rd Dec we will be having a Christmas Party for the members’ grand-children when Father Christmas will come and give presents to the children. Member’s grand-children should be under 12 years old. Other children will be charged £5. Please ensure to give the names and ages of the children you will be bringing to Jauben or Ellaben Shah.
