ANNOUNCEMENTS ON THURSDAY 4th DECEMBER 2014
1.Today the Relaxation and Meditation Yoga was conducted by Dineshbhai Shah. Many thanks to him from Kendra.
2. DONATIONS : * ‘Chaas’ for the month of December is sponsored by Rasilaben and Prabhudasbhai Shah. Many thanks to them on behalf of Kendra.
* £51 from Shantaben Pindoria on the celebration of the fifth birthday of her grand-daughter. Kendra’s many thanks and best wishes.
* An anonymous donor has donated a large steel plate to Kendra for food for distribution. Many thanks to the person.
3. At Tea Time, Kendra will provide tea and biscuits. Please note that tea will be served to you, hence no one should get up and go to the serving table.
4. Kendra will hold a Pre-Christmas Bazaar on Thursday the 11th Dec. from 2 to 3.30pm.
• The bazaar is open to all – please bring your friends and family along to join in.
• Any items for sale should be in nearly new condition only and be priced reasonably.
• Unsold items will have to be taken back.
• Two stalls – of printed saris and ‘salwar khameez’ have already been allocated. Anyone for food stall is welcome --each person will be charged £15.
• In order to make an arrangement for stalls please give your names to Ellaben/ Pragnaben/ Jasuben,
• Tea and biscuits will be served to everyone.
• Monies raised will be put towards an entertaining well-being activity of NVK members.
5. Please renew your membership before 15th December. Already over 350 members have now renewed their membership. Those members who have submitted their renewal forms with payment should collect their receipts and get their Membership card stamped for 2015. We request those few remaining members to kindly renew their membership by next week.
6. This year Christmas Day and New Year’s Day fall on Thursdays and Kendra’s activities will be closed on these days, instead we will be meeting on Tuesday 30th December. Please write your names if you are attending on the list at the Front Desk so that we can plan for catering. So far over 145 names have been received.
7. We will be celebrating our 8th Anniversary and New Year 2015 on 8th January 2015 and tickets will be £1.00 for members and £15.00 for guests. This will be a sit down lunch with whole day of music, which will start at 10.30am.
The small charge is to monitor attendance and ordering lunch from the caterers. Please remember that last minute bookings for attendance will strictly not be entertained, neither will be members who will turn up on the day without tickets.
8. The Newsletter for December has been emailed to members. A few hard copies are available to those members who do not have access to emails.
9.There is a charity show of masters Tennis at the Royal Albert Hall tonight at 7.30pm. It is a special Olympic Exhibition of professional players. As usual there is a charge of £1 for charity and tickets are available from Prahudasbhai Shah.
10. Jasuben Sheth announced that after lunch we will have a special Quiz game in Groups of 4.
Also a few ‘Message in a Wallet’ and Bottles are available from Pragnaben Mandalia. These are only for those who missed out last week.
11. Everyone is requested to sign in the Register at the main Table including all guests. Guests should ensure to obtain Guest Passes from the Front Desk.
