NAVJIVAN VADIL KENDRA- ANNOUNCEMENTS ON THU-4TH FEB ‘16
1). Today’s warm-up Yoga was conducted by Jayeshbhai Shah. Thanks to him. Manishaben gave several health tips. Kendra’s many thanks to her.
2) Today – 4th Feb – is World Cancer Day. Millions of people have cancer and we should all get together to make a bigger difference in their lives by supporting the various charities that are focused on these patients living longer.
3). DONATIONS : ‘Chaas’ for the month of February is sponsored by Induben and Sobhagbhai Zaverchand Shah. Many thanks to them from Kendra.
4). After lunch today, we are going to have a different type of ‘Antakshri’ and at Tea Time, Kendra will provide tea and biscuits.
Vinodbhai Kapashi conducted the Antakshri in a question and answer form.
5). Next Thurs- 11th February, we will have a very special Valentine programme.
6). As announced before, we are going to have a grand 10th Anniversary programme early next year and it has been decided to produce a Souvenir to mark this occasion. We need contributions by way of articles, stories, poems from members and advertisements to cover the cost of the souvenir. We request all members to give us your support in getting adverts and submitting articles.
7). We have arranged a Yoga Retreat from Mon -11th to Sat -16th July at the Pastoral Centre, Fareham, Hampshire (www.parkplacecentre.org.uk ). Only limited number of places are available, and if you are interested, you need to complete the forms and return with the £100 deposit.
8). We have repeated several times that new members are required to complete all the details on the form and hand over with 2 photographs. If you have not done so, please do so. Also you are required to write your full names.
9). The Newsletter for February has been circulated to members by email. A few hard copies are available for those who have no access to emails.
10). Photographs of our various activities are on our website. Open under ‘Galleries’
11). Everyone present here, including all guests, are requested to sign the Register at the Entrance Main Table and Guests should obtain their Passes.
12) Jasuben Sheth announced that next week we have the Valentine programme and all those who have given their names should see her for a briefing. She also stated that most likely we will have the discussion programme of “Tammara mat pramane adarsh Jodi kuon?” on 3/3.
13). Vinod Parekh announced that as usual every year the Lions Club has kindly given invitation to ten members from Kendra for a gala programme at Harrow Leisure Centre on Sun – 28th Feb from 1.30 pm. Only those who have not been to this programme should give their names.
