NAVJIVAN VADIL KENDRA- ANNOUNCEMENTS ON THURS – 8th SEPT 2016
After completion of Paryushan, on behalf of Kendra, we beg to say ‘Michhami Dukddam’ if any Committee member has ‘janta, ajanta’ caused any offence to any member.
We welcome our President – Baburai Shah who has attended today after a long recovery from operation.
1). DONATIONS: *£51 from Champuben and Vinubhai Malde in celebration of the birth of a grand-daughter –Lola, to their son – Sejul and daughter in law –Katrina. Kendra’s thanks and Best Wishes to the family.
* £ 101 from Avantilal Nottamlal Jasani, who celebrated his 81st birthday on 2/9. Kendra’s Heartiest congratulations and Best Wishes and pray that he enjoys many more birthday to come.
* £ 51 from Kantilal Jivraj Shah and family in celebration of the following results obtained by their grand-children : Their daughter – Priya got 1st Class at her exams at the Oxford University. Other daughter – Rianna got 5 A* in her A level exams and was admitted to the Oxford University. Their grand-son : Sahil got 13 A* in his GCSE exams, including French and Maths. Kendra’s Heartiest Congratulations and Best Wishes to all family members.
2). After lunch today we will have Mr Chauhan who is going to talk on Raw Food Diet and its benefits and how he has cured himself and others and as usual, at tea time, Kendra will provide tea and biscuits.
(Mr. Chauhan in his talk simply tried to be a proponent of “Kachhu te Sachhu” and tried to explain a new type of diet without giving any proof etc. He kept on talking that the food billions of people in the world are having was wrong !!!!)
3). Next Thurs – 15th Sept, we will have Sudoku competition.
4). You are aware that we are planning a grand celebration for our 10th Anniversary next year and are publishing a Souvenir where we have asked for your contribution of interesting articles to be included. We also need adverts and the charge for full page is £150 and Half Page is £80. You can also give well wish messages - Quarter page £50 and 1/8th page £25. Let us all get together and make this occasion a special one. Please try and support your Kendra. We request for your ideas on presents for members which are realistic.
5). Last Saturday, 11members went to try out Bowling and all enjoyed it. Because of Paryushan, many were not able to come. Jayantbhai Doshi will arrange another day. After lunch there will be a short meeting near the Right hand corner of the Hall (near main doors) and decide on when others would like to go and try it out.
6). Navnat Vadil Mandal has organised a gujarati comedy ‘natak’ - ‘The Waiting Rooms’ at Hayes on Mon – 26th Sept with lunch. Time : play - 11.00 am to 2.00pm and lunch 2.00 to 3.00pm. The charge for guests is £12. If interested, contact Rameshbhai Shah.
7). Dr. Pragnaben Mandalia announced that on Thurs – 13th Oct we have arranged a ‘Talking Therapy Workshop’ on the topic : Anxiety & Depression in the upper small Hall. The Seminar will take a maximum of 20 members. A Specialist will give a talk on Anxiety, Depression and then there will be discussion on the topics. Interested persons should give their names to her. If there are more names then a next session will be arranged.
8). Jasuben Sheth announced that the Cricket competition announce several times will be organised at the end of Sept. Only 22 names from those who submitted their names will be taken. The competition is mainly on General knowledge with two teams – Team A and Team B.
