NAVJIVAN VADIL KENDRA- ANNOUNCEMENTS ON 9th JUNE 2016
We welcome our guests from the NHS.
1).It is with a deep sense of loss and sorrow that we have to inform the sad news of passing away of our member – ANANTRAI MANEKLAL SHAH – Age 87.  On behalf of Kendra, we offer our sincere condolences to his family and also pray to Lord Mahavir to rest his soul in eternal peace and that he gives courage to his family members to bear the loss with fortitude.    OM SHANTI    SHANTI    SHANTI
(Two minutes silence was observed by all present in memory of the departed soul.  The funeral is on Sat – 11th June at 10.00 am at the Hendon Crematorium)
2). Today’s Warm-up Yoga was conducted by Ushaben Mehta and Manishaben gave several Health Tips and conducted Yoga ‘ashanas’ to stretch all parts of the body. Many thanks to both from Kendra.
3). Special “Churma Na Ladu” at lunch is sponsored by Nimaben Kakad, who celebrates her 70th birthday tomorrow.  Kendra’s heartiest congratulations and we pray that she enjoys many more birthdays to come.
4).  We are proud to inform members that our President – Baburai Shah and Hon. Secretary – Jayantbhai Doshi have been invited to attend H.M. Queen’s 90th Birthday party this Sun – 12th June at the Mall.  This will be the largest mega street party ever seen along the historic world famous Mall, where 10,000 guests will be sitting on tables set up along the Mall to have Hamper lunch.  There will be carnival and other members of the Royal family will also attend.
5). After lunch today, we will have a talk on ‘Anxiety and Depression’ from three speakers from the NHS and as usual Kendra will provide Tea and Biscuits at Tea Time.
A very interesting talk was given by the NHS and many members stayed to listen to them.
6). Next Thurs –16th June, we will have a ‘Fathers Day’ programme and will also have a visit from the Mayor of Harrow – Rekhaben Navin Shah.
7). We request all members to give us their support in getting advertisements as well as articles of interest for the Souvenir Brochure celebrating 10years of Kendra.  The rates for adverts are :

8).  We have organised a Day Trip to Stratford On Avon on Tues – 5th July with visits to a few places including the newly built Shakespeare House.  The subsidised cost to Members will be £20 and non-members £25.  Please give your names to Ashokbhai Mehta. (We have already received 61 names so far)
9).  A 19 days tour of Mayanmar (Burma) from 10th Nov to 28th Nov is being arranged and full details have been emailed to members.  The cost will be £3000 for members and £3050 for Non-members.  If you want more details, contact Jayantbhai Doshi.
10).  Many members have taken advantage of the offer to see “Merchants of Bollywood” for £10.  We thank Binaben Prabhudas Shah for giving us this opportunity.
11).  All members who had booked tickets for the Gujarati play, which was cancelled should bring their tickets and collect their refund from Punambhai Patwa.
12).  Please note that we will not be meeting on Thurs – 7th July.  Instead we will meet on Wed – 6th July.  Also we will not meet on Thurs – 21st July, but will meet on Tues – 19th July.
13). Our proposed trip to Scotland will most likely be in September – after ‘Paryushan’, if there is enough response.  All interested should give their names to Vinod Parekh or Ellaben Shah. 

14).  21st June is The International Yoga Day, which will be celebrated all over the world. There are several Yoga programmes in London and if you are interested, you can join in any of these.
15).  It is nice to see that that over 250 members are in attendance today, but please remember to park properly and not haphazardly.  Also too much place is being occupied by those doing Yoga and also occupying chairs or keeping their personal belonging on the same. Kindly give all members a chance to do Yoga properly by not occupying too much space.
16). Last week somebody forgot a jumper/scarf/ spectacles etc.  If it is yours collect the same.
17). Everyone, including guests present today are requested to sign in the Register at the main Table.  Guests should obtain their passes.
18).  Jasuben Sheth announced the names of those taking part in the ‘Fathers Day’ programme and requested for more names.
She also informed that a special programme is being arranged on 30th June – “khsamapna”.  There will be Chair Yoga and you can wear decent dresses.
