NAVJIVAN VADIL KENDRA – ANNOUNCEMENTS ON THURS -

President -Vinod Parekh announced that Guests are welcome at our Navratri Festival of Raas/Garba on Thurs – 29/09/2022 at at charge o £10 pp.
Also – Tickets for our Diwali Dhamaka programme on 20/10/2022 are now being issued. Please get them from the Front Desk. Members - £5 pp and Non-members & Carers - £15 pp.

AS THE WHOLE COUNTRY IS MOURNING THE SAD PASSING AWAY OF HM THE QUEEN ELIZABETH, WE WILL OBSERVE A MINUTE'S SILENCE TO PRAY FOR HER SOUL TO REST IN ETERNAL PEACE.
WE ARE VERY HAPPY THAT HIS MAJESTY CHARLES III HAS BEEN PROCLAIMED AS THE KING. GOD SAVE THE KING – LONG TO REIGN OVER US.

4). Today's Yoga was conducted by Dineshbhai T Shah. He started with the Queen of Yoga pose – 'Sarvangasana' in remembrance of HM The Queen. He performed many poses for the body joints, took all to 'Dhobighaat' and did all the poses of actions during cleaning clothes, poses of making of food and did laughter Yoga. Many thanks from Kendra.
(There was a discussion on the number of joints in human body – at birth there are on an average of 360 body joints and as one gets older the bones fuse together.).
Ushaben Mehta gave a health tip on how the elderly people should get up from the seating position and when to start walking.

6). After lunch we will continue with the unfinished Agenda for our AGM.
7). At Tea Time, NVK will serve tea and biscuits.
8). We have started to issue tickets for our “Diwali Dhamaka” programme on Thurs - 20th Oct 2022 at Sattavis Patidar Centre. Please book at the Main Desk on payment of the subsidised charge of £5 for members. Non- members £15.
9). As informed we will have whole day live Raas/Garba to celebrate the Navratri on Thurs - 29th Sept. There will be a singer with music. No Yoga on that day

AFTERNOON :
The AGM agenda was finalised and members were asked if they had any questions or suggestions. Some members asked questions and answers were given by the President/Secretary. Then the present Managing Committee was dissolved.
Dhirubhai Galani was chosen as the independent Supervisor. He announced that as per Regulations, 15 names for Nominees were required and we had received exactly 15 names. They were :
VINOD PAREKH, JAYANTBHAI U DOSHI, DR. VINODBHAI KAPASHI, PURNIMABEN MEHTA, PRAFUL SHAH, KISHOR DOSHI, CHIMANBHAI SHETH, JAYESHKUMAR T SHAH, DR. MAHENDRA VORA, ELLABEN SHAH, HASMUKH PAREKH, KUSUMBEN PUNATER, HARENDRA MESWANI, HASU MANDALIA, MAHESH SAVADIA.
Dhirubhai then declared that there will be no election and the present Committee will be dissolved and the fifteen nominees will retreat and according to Regulations, they will select the Managing Committee posts. After retreat and the discussions by the elected Nominees to Dhirubhi, he announced the following :

The elected President and Secretary then came on the stage and a standing ovation was given to Jayantbhai Doshi for his continuous service as a Hon. Secretary for 15 years. He thanked the members.
President – Vinod Parekh gave his address thanking members for their cooperation in the past and also requested that they all continue to help for the betterment of Kendra. He also informed that after the sad demise of Punambhai Patwa, Baburai T Shah had agreed to act as Treasurer till the end of 2022. Thus – Jayeshbhai will take over as Treasurer from next year.
