ANNOUNCEMENTS ON TUESDAY 3rd NOVEMBER 2015

Before the announcements, Jayantbhai Doshi- Hon. Secretary announced that Manishaben was going on her holidays to India and on behalf of Kendra wished her happy holidays. He further stated that she has been conducting Yoga for Kendra members since last 7 years and she has always conducted new Yoga postures that has greatly improved the health of members. Further she gave several health tips for improving individual member’s problems. As a token of appreciation a presentation of £150 was made to her with Best Wishes.

1).We welcome members who have been able to attend to-day’s gathering. However some of our members are unable to attend because of ill health or problems. We pray for their speedy recovery so that they can come and enjoy our future programmes. Some members are also celebrating some joyous occasions in their family. Our Best Wishes to them.

2). DONATIONS : * £500 from Vinodbhai Udani in loving memory of his wife Arunaben. Kendra’s many thanks and we pray that her soul rests in eternal peace.
* ‘Chaas’ for the month of November is sponsored by Pratimaben and Harshvadan Mandalia. Many thanks to them from Kendra.
* £50 from Adarsh Gujral on the occasion of Diwali with Best Wishes to all the members. Many thanks from Kendra.
* An anonymous donor distributed chocolates to all members at lunch time. Many thanks from Kendra.
* Another anonymous donor has presented some stationery items – Hard cover Registers. Many thanks from Kendra.

3). Today’s lunch is sponsored by Shobhag and Dinesh Zaverchand Shah in memory of Manibai Zaverchand Shah, aged 98, who passed away on 11/10 and on the occasion of the birthday of Induben (Shobhag’s wife)- which is today. Everyone joined in singing the Happy Birthday song. Kendra’s many thanks and we also wish Induben a very Happy Birthday and pray that she enjoys many more birthdays to come. After lunch we will have Bingo games and as usual at Tea Time, Kendra will serve Tea and Biscuits.

4). Remember next week we will meet on Wed – 11th Nov- on Diwali day, when we will have a full day musical programme with live music band of Nituben Shah. We will have Musical Mehefil only and there will be no raas garba. There will be Sit down lunch with Special menu and no Yoga on that day. A few Guests will be allowed at £15. However they should be booked in advance.

5). Please renew your membership for 2016, by submitting duly completed form with your payment of £90 to Punambhai Patwa together with your membership ID in an envelope. Remember the deadline is 15th December. If you do not intend to renew your membership, please let us know. Also please ensure to fill your current contact details in the form. Over 200 members have so far renewed their membership. Those who have already paid should collect their receipts and cards.

6). The Newsletter for November has been emailed to members. A few hard copies are available for those members who do not have access to computers.

7). Our announcements each week are always put on our Website : www.nvk.org.uk on the same day and in case you have missed to hear the same, please go to our website. Also the Newsletters and photos of our programmes are on our website.

8) If you are shopping at SAINSBURY’S and would like to join in the scheme whereby NVK will get 4% on the gross amount of the shopping and if you need any help or clarification, please contact Jayantbhai Doshi or Baburai Shah.

9). We keep on announcing to members not to bring their valuables to our gatherings or leave these items unattended. Yet we have seen items like ladies handbags etc being left unattended on chairs. Please take care in future.

10). Everyone, including guests, are requested to sign in the Register at the Entrance Table and Guests are requested to obtain their Pass.

11). Vinod Parekh announced that we will play two games of Bingo and there will be two prizes for Full house only. He further informed that on next week’s Diwali music programme :
* Dress code is smart clothes for Gents and colourful saris for ladies.
* Please ensure that you come with your ID cards, which will be checked at the entrance.
* There is sitting arrangement on First come first basis and strictly no one should reserve chairs for others. If bringing guests, please try and come together so you can seat on same table.
* Volunteers requested to come early to help in decorations and other work.
* All requested to sit by 10.45am
