1. Donation of £51 from Suresh Parikh on the occasion of his birthday which was on the 8th of July. Kendra’s best wishes to Sureshbhai and many thanks for the generous donation which is very much appreciated.
2. Lions club sponsored Charity Walk - London Platinum Jubilee Lions club have organised charity walk with picnic on Sunday 15th September at Rickmansworth Aquadrome. Time is 9:30 am to 2 pm, Breakfast and lunch provided, Charge for participant is £10 per person. For further details contact - Bhupenbhai Vasa, Nitinbhai Patel, Pragnaben Mandalia.

4. It was suggested to speed up the table arrangements at lunchtime. The President explained that the changeover at lunchtime does take time because there is only one staff that arranges the tables for lunch. This has been the case post Covid. Before Covid we had two staff arranging the tables for lunch. Comments from the floor was that the yoga session can be shortened, while some suggested that yoga session must not be shortened.
5. The president explained that last Thursday HABSHI HALWA Pieces were small pieces as provided by the caterers. We had not cut the pieces into halves when serving. So some of you may have been served small pieces.
6. After the lunch our guest from India Honourable Mr. Subodh Shah, retired Justice of the Gujarat High Court, and currently an arbitrator and esteemed legal consultant spoke about legal system in India and many interesting aspects related to it. He also spoke about Wills and probates and inheritance tax. He then explained few legal aspects in a case when divorce proceedings take place. The issue of custody of a child (children) is a complicated one and he threw some light on various circumstances and decisions taken by the court.
There were questions from the audience and Shri Subodhbhai provided answers to all. Our members appreciated the talk and were very thankful to him. At the end of the talk Subodhbhai, and his wife Ashaben were felicitated with gift and flowers. We also had Advertising head of the Lyca media (Lyca radio and Lyca Gold radio) Mrs Alka Shah as our guest who visited us and met our members.
