Dear members,
Jai Jinendra and Jai Shree Krishna,
1. Thank you to Marlene for the tai chi session and to Usha Mehta for chair yoga at short notice.
2. One minutes silence was observed in memory of Late Indrakant Jyantilal Bakhai. Indubhai Bakhai was one of the founding members of Navjivan Vadil Kendra and he worked in the committee for many years and was active as a volunteer.

3. Important Announcement
This is to inform you all that 2 committee members have resigned from the committee as trustees. They are Prafulbhai Shah and Hasubhai Mandalia.
The committee met on Wednesday 19 February and have unanimously accepted their resignations.
4. Donations:
- Packets of biscuits from Kantaben Vinorai Shah and Madhuben Gulab Shah.
- Packets of biscuits from Kundanben Male on the occasion of her husband Jayantilal N Malde's 16th Tithi.
- Chaas sponsor for April/May from Seju and Priti Shah in memory of Late Shardaben Shah - mother of Seju Shah.
5. Picnics and Trips: We will be organising both of this activity soon and particularly once the wether improves.
6. For information - Cricket fans may be interested to know that on Sunday 23 February, Sattavis Patidar Hall is hosting an event called 'Cricket Ka Mahakumbh'. If anyone is interested in joining in the fun here in this hall, details are on the flyer outside this hall in the foyer.
7. A reminder that we are not meeting on Thursday 6 March as the hall has been hired out. We will meet next on Thursday 13 March.
8. We have a shortage of kitchen help today. Therefore, we will need help for 1 person to volunteer to serve the chaas. Another 2 people to volunteer with the washing up after lunch.
9. Lions Club Seniors party - Sunday 16 February - NVK are given complimentary tickets to this event by Isleworth Lions Club. Our 10 guests are not charged for the tickets but are invited as guests of Isleworth Lions Club who work hard to raise funds for Charitable causes and service activities such as, seniors party. In future, when putting your names forward for such events, please be mindful and only put forward your names if you are going to be able to attend.
10. Afternoon programme.
Our guest Mrs Purvi Shah, a Pharmacist was our guest of the day. She has two pharmacy outlets; one in Belmont circle and another one in Colindale. She is very helpful in all aspects of medications. She advises and guides customers/patients as per their needs. Purviben came with Mr Chirag Shah and two other colleagues. Programme started at 2.15 pm.Her colleagues were busy measuring peoples' blood pressure and offering general advice to them. Purviben spoke about all aspects related to Blood Pressure. She talked in Gujarati and English and advised everybody. There were quite a few questions about the medication and side effects etc. Our people were very happy and appreciative of the guests. Programme finished at 3.20 pm.
