Dear Members,
Jai Jinendra and Jai Shree Krishna
1. Members were reminded to register correctly on whats app registrations. It was pointed out that all members should register individually whether they are attending or not. the option for siblings/spouse is only for those that do not have a mobile number and are unable to complete the poll. A humble request to all members that if you have a mobile number and have not registered on the whats up group, and you partner is completing the poll on your behalf, please register on the whats app group and complete the poll yourself. Last week some members had registered on the poll twice resulting in duplication of numbers.
2. The practise of reserving chairs in the morning should stop and we will act if we come across any such reserved chairs.
Afternoon programme for 26 June
Mr Atul Kanabar and Mrs Nita Kanabar were our guests for this programme. They sang some beautiful bhajans in memory of the victims of the Air India plane crash of 12th June 2025. They began with very soothing mantras like Shanti path, Gayatri Mantra, Maha Mrityunjay mantra and then Navkar mantra. Our members were immersed in these chanting of sacred mantras. After this, they sang some well-known bhajans. Again some of our members became quite sentimental on hearing this beautiful renderings. The singers were honoured by giving them a fruit basket and a shawl.
WE had invited Dr Yatri Khara for the afternoon talk. SAhe is a dentist and has her surgery on Kenton Road. Dr Khara explained everything about dental issues in very simple Gujarati terminology. She talked about proper brushing, cleaning and issues like capping, filling and implants. She gave very important advice. Our members were quite happy and there were many questions which Dr Khara answered satisfactorily. --
