1. SPONSORSHIP -

  • We welcome sponsors for chaas-£60 per month. Please give your name to Ella Shah at the front desk.
  • We also welcome lunch sponsors-£551 for ordinary lunch. Please speak to the President. 

 2. Mr Harihar Patel was introduced as new member of NVK.

3. Cruise:

Two of our Committee members have booked a cruise to Canary Islands and Madeira.This is from Southampton.The 12 night cruise leaves on 20th April and comes back on 3rd May. (12 nights). The price for inside cabin is £999

 

This is good value for money. You will be paying   money to MSC     cruise or to the agent. We will try to arrange a transportation to Southampton and back. The cruise includes all meals and all tea coffee etc.+ usual entertainment and other things

Grand Children’s Programme - Thursday 9 April

 

We will try to arrange a programme of Member’s Grand Children. 

 

Our members are encouraged to bring their grand children on 9th April 2026. The age limit is 14 years. Please inform us in advance. Any child wishing to present an item of song or dance or wishes to play a musical instrument, would be allowed to do so but please register in advance  with Ellaben Shah so that we can allocate a time-slot.  There is no additional charge for presenting an item on the stage. Stage programme will be from 2 pm to 3.15 pm.

Entry fee per child is £5.00 which include Yoga, lunch and afternoon tea etc. Age - upto 14 years

4. Donations: £60 from Sudhaben Chandulal Shah for the month of May. Many thanks on behalf of Kendra.

5. Afternoon programme -

We celebrated Ram-Navami on this day. Maltiben, Lalitbhai and many ladies had set up tables with Ram-darbar and other religious items. Quite a few people brought Prasad. WE are grateful to all of them
First we performed Bhagvan Ram's aarti. After this Prasad items were taken away which were distributed amongst our members during the lunch time.
After lunch. There were a couple of speeches. Shobhnaben Lathia (about three minutes ) and Vijayshriben Rajput (about 18 minutes) spoke about Bhagvam Ram and Ramayan. We also celebrated Hanuman Jayanti. Hanuman Chalisa was sung by 10 to 12 enthusiastic devotees with manjira music. Six to seven other people wanted to sing songs/bhajans. However, we could only allow one minute each to these singers due to lack of time. Overall our members were very happy and praised the programme. We collected £68.10 from the Aarti money. Details on where this money will be donated will follow.

 

6. We need a volunteer for returning empty food containers back to Meera's. Please contact Vinodbhai Parekh.
