IMPORTANT CHANCES TO NOTE
2. Originally we had planned a Diwali Dhamaka event at Blue Room for Tuesday 22 Ocotober. This was planned based on the feedback members provided at last year's Dhamaka. However, take up of tickets has been poor and members have expressed that the ticket price of £25 per member is high. So far we have sold 97 tickets (80 members and 17 non members). To break even we needed to sell at least 150 tickets.
The event was projected on at least 350 (300 members and 50 non-members) tickets being sold. With only 2 weeks to go, it seems highly unlikely that we will be able to achieve our target of selling 350 tickets.
We had our committee meeting this morning and the committee has agreed to change the venue and the date. This may incur a cancellation charge.
Instead of Blue Room have it at Sattavis Patidar hall on Thursday 24 October. Our normal venue. Time - 11am to 3.30pm. Apologies to all those that have already book
The revised ticket charges will be as follows:
- Members £15
- Non-members £25
- Carers on the day £10
Members that have already paid the higher amount will be refunded the money by the same method of payment. If paid by cash, you will be refunded in cash. If you paid by bank transfer, you will be refunded by bank transfer back to your bank account. If you paid by cheque, your cheque will not be cashed. Please arrange for a cheque with the new amount to be presented.
We will continue to sell the tickets at the new rate as usual on Thursday 10 October.
Please hurry and buy your tickets at a new lower rate on this Thursday.
3. As a result the event of Diwali contest of Rangoli, Mithai, Aarti Thali and Touran on Thursday 24th of October will now be postponded.
4. Donations:

- £11 Santaben Pindoria for the Prasad;
- £25 from Vanlilaben and Sharadbhai Mehta on the occasion of their grandson Anish's Birthday - which was today.
