1. We are very sad to observe a one minute for 3 of members who have departed us in the last 10 days. All were regular attendees at NVK but we did not see them recently due to their health issues. They are:

2. We are planning a trip to Sri Lanka in March. Dates are 8 March 2026 to 21 March 2026. This would be before Easter Holidays. The tour itinerary is attached to this e-mail.

3.Sponsored Lunch - Restructure.
The committee has agreed for a restructure of the sponsored lunch format. From Thursday 6 November, under the new structure there will only be one standard lunch towards which a member can donate, to celebrate and share in their news or birthdays. The rate of this will be £551 (flat rate). There will no longer be a two tier format - standard lunch and special lunch. It will only be one tier and that will be a flat rate of £551 as mentioned above.
4. Honouring of members reaching 90 years of age - Restructure.
When a member reaches the age of 90 years- at the time of honouring him/her we will allow 2 members from the family to attend as guest of NVK. Any additional family members wishing to attend will be required to pay the normal guest charges. Furthermore, we will now honour the member with a gift voucher from Marks and Spencer/John Lewis instead of a shawl.
5. Members were reminded to register their attendance on the weekly whats app poll by Monday each week. This allows us to put in an accurate order for catering purposs. If members register after Monday each week it does not get included in the placing of the order for catering.
6. Members were also reminded to make sure that they take all their belongings at the time of leaving the venue. If any belonging are left behind, and not claimed by the following Thursday, they will be disposed of by donating it a charity.
7. Donations- £100 from Lata Chandrakant Shah in memory of her husband Late Chandrakant Chaganlal Kara. Today is his 20th death anniversary. Many hanks to Lataben on behalf of the Kendra.
