2). President - Vinod Parekh announced : i) He welcomed the new members who have come today.
ii) Our new system of touch your membership cards on phone is working well. We request that you all carry your Membership Cards for any NVK event. In case you forget to bring your card, we will not send you back, we will give entry but you will have to wait and will have to Register your names. So please co-operate with us. (Secretary -Purnimaben Mehta announced that it is better to download your Card on your I Phone as it is better for the system).
iii) On Thurs - 7th March we will have a full day Musical Programme which is sponsored by Vanitaben and Shantibhai D Shah in memory of their beloved late father as his 'Tithi' falls on that day. They have also sponsored a 'Special Lunch' on that day and will bring Neetuben Shah and her Group for the 'Shradhanjli' to sing devotional songs. There will be no Yoga on that day. Members can bring their Guests on payment of £15. From next Thursday we will start to issue Tickets for the programme to members. This will be free to members. This is for making arrangements in the Hall and place order for catering.
iv) Next Thurs - 15/02/24, we will have a Bhajan and Kirtan programme in the afternoon session from 1.45 pm. There will be Yoga as usual in the morning session but we will close a little early so that everyone can then enjoy the Bhajans. That day the Lunch and the Bhajans & Kirtans by Musicians -Atulbhai & Neetaben Kanabar is sponsored by our member - Jyotiben Gandhi in loving memory of her late husband - Dr. Anilkumar Gandhi. Guests are welcome on payment of £10. You must inform their names to Purnimaben Mehta or myself latest by Sunday 11/02/24.
v) We had announced before that 3 members had paid their membership fees by Bank transfer but DID NOT give their details. We have now confirmed one payment for a member. But the following 2 transfers on 31/11/23 and 01/12/23 to NVK by Monzo prepayment card have still not been identified. Members who had made Bank transfer around those dates, please urgently give us your full details so that the payments can be identified.
vi) For the information of new members - if you want to sponsor a Lunch to celebrate any function or special occasion in your family, the charge is £501 for the normal Lunch and for a Special Lunch £1001. For both the sponsorship you will be allowed 5 guests free.
3). Today we had Yoga by Manishaben. We welcome her back after her daughter's (Dr Aditi to Dr Ahan Kamdar) wedding in Ahmedabad. On behalf of all members we send her family our heartfelt congratulations and Best Wishes. She has now acquired the degree of 'Sasuji'
Today's Warm Up Yoga was done by Bakul Kothari. Manishaben conducted Yogic poses to tone up many body joints and muscles and also gave the health benefits of each pose. She also did 'Pranayams' etc and members welcomed the session.

4). DONATIONS : a) £101 from Hansaben S Mandalia in loving memory of her late husband - Surendra Mandalia. A further donation of £360 was also made by Hansaben in memory of late Surendrabhai Mandalia for sponsorship of 'Chaas' for 6 months at Lunch time. NVK's Many thanks for both the donations and we pray that the deceased's soul rests in eternal peace.
b). Packets of Biscuits from Jasuben Shah and also Madhuben Shah. Nany thanks from NVK to both.
5). After lunch today we are having our budding talented members to come and give a demonstration of art of folding paper into making various shapes or any other artistic talent Please stay and see their interesting creations and talents.
As usual at Tea Time, NVK will provide Tea/Coffee and the sponsored Biscuits.
(Today's Lunch menu included : 'Chutti Bundi', Panjabi Samosa, Puri, Mixed Bean saakh, Maag daal etc)
The afternoon programme started at 2.00 pm and Co-Convenor - Mahesh Savadia introduced the first participant :

She gave a dance with music. Last week she got a prize for giving an item at Harrow Warm Hub. Congratulations from NVK

She recited a kavita

She showed several paper craft articles and gave demonstration on how to start.

Members applauded all participants and they were thanked by Secretary - Purnimaben Mehta.
6). Next Thursday - 15/02/24 we will have Yoga by Manishaben as usual in the morning session. Remember to bring your Yoga Belts always with your Mats. In the afternoon session after 1.45 pm, we will have the programme of Bhajans & Kirtans.
