1). President - Vinod Parekh announced : i) New Year has started and any member wishing to sponsor 'Chaas' at Lunch Time for any month for £60, is most welcome and requested to contact us.
ii) We welcome all the new members who have come today. Please stand up so that others can see and guide you in the new environment.
iii) New plastic Membership cards are ready and will be distributed at the Main Table later on. Our Secretary -Purnimaben Mehta has put on a lot of effort to put on the new new Digital System. She will come and give us more details.
iv) Please note that if it is strictly necessary to contact me at home, phone only between the hours - 11.00 am to 1.00 pm or 5.30 to 6.30 pm. Do not disturb at any other time.
2). Today we had Yoga by Rupaliben Kanade. She conducted many Yogic poses to tone up body joints and muscles. She also did Surya Namaskar for those who were doing Yoga on chairs chanting the mantras. Everyone enjoyed the session. Many thanks from NVK
3). After lunch today we are going to 'Go Back in our Childhood days and remember and sing some famous Bal-Geet (Children's Songs in Gujarati). We had this about two years ago and everyone really enjoyed that. Then we will also have some Duha, and folksongs from our own Lalitbhai Mehta for 15 to 20 minutes.
As usual at Tea Time, NVK will provide Tea/Coffee and the sponsored Biscuits.

The programme started at 2.00 pm with Dr. Vinodbhai Kapashi giving introduction to the programme of Bal Geet and gave an interesting information of many childhood songs.
Later on members sang many childhood songs and our member - Lalitbhai Mehta came in special costume to give some duha, lookgeet etc. Yet again this programme was applauded by all.
4). Please note that all Executive members are doing honourary work for NVK and members must not be disturbed at their homes unless it is strictly necessary. We will always help you sort out your problems but if done in an orderly way. For problems like emails or knowing the fate of people's application for joining NVK etc, write down on paper with your name and email address so that we can check that and try to solve the matter.
5). Purnimaben Mehta announced that all members must eagerly be awaiting to get their new Membership Cards with their photo, contact and NHS numbers. The cards will be distributed after lunch and members should come in an orderly manner and collect these with their receipts and also check their details. New members cards will be distributed next week. Also Chimanbhai Sheth will take passport size photos in the next Hall for anyone whose photo has not been taken. The new system was a huge challenge as it contains all information and in the future you will not have to sign in the Register Book.
President - Vinod Parekh congratulated and gave praise to Purnimaben for the extraordinary work and efforts put behind the whole system.
