1). President - Vinod Parekh announced : i) Today's Yoga was conducted by our inhouse members as we had changed our gathering from Thursday to Tuesday and Manishaben is busy.
ii). We have now started the renewal of 2024 Membership Fees. We request you to inform members who do not come regularly that they should come and sign the renewal forms, take out Passport size photos and pay the renewal fees.
iii). Last week someone had forgotten a scarf. Please come and collect it.
iv). Jayshukhlal B Mehta on behalf of the Mehta Family donated £1001 to NVK in loving memory of his wife - Late Bhadrabala who had sadly passed away on 30th October '23. She had enjoyed coming to our gatherings, trips and activities. May Lord Mahavir rest her soul in peace. NVK's thanks to the Mehta family.
v). All Executive Committee members are requested to come for a short urgent meeting to discuss important issues, after lunch.
2). Today's Yoga was conducted by Jayeshbhai T Shah and later on assisted by Kishorbhai Lakhani and Jasuben Sheth. Many Yogic poses to tone up the muscles and joints of the body were performed. Many thanks to all from NVK.
3). Sad news - Our member - Kantilal Jivraj Shah - age 88 - passed away on 17/11/23. He had joined NVK since 2013 and most of the time joined in all our activities, gatherings, trips etc. A very friendly person who enjoyed meeting friends for fellowship. He was the father of Piyushbhai Shah, who is maintaining our Website and also is the Technical Advisor for our new Electronic Plastic Membership Cards. On behalf of all NVK members we offer our sincere condolences to the family members of late Kantibhai and pray to Lord Mahavir to rest the deceased's soul in eternal peace and give courage to the family to bear the loss with fortitude.
Late Kantibhai was adjudged the Best Dressed Gent at our Diwali Dhamaka Programme.
We will observe a minute's silence to pray for his soul.
4). DONATIONS : *£51 from Chhotalal P Kothari to celebrate the birthday of his wife - Sushilaben which was today. She was called to the stage and Ramaben Doshi & Jasuben Sheth sang the "Happy Birthday " song. Everyone joined in singing with them. NVK's many thanks and Best Wishes to Sushilaben and we pray that she will enjoy many more birthdays to come.

5). After lunch today we have play 'Antakshri' and as usual at Tea Time, NVK will provide Tea/Coffee and the sponsored Biscuits.
(Today's Lunch Menu included : 'Magaj' Bateta Vada, Chhana/Bhatula, Mag, Bhaat etc )
The afternoon programme stated at 2.15 pm with Dr. Vinodnbhai Kapashi giving a short introduction on the current celebrations and events around us and in the world.
Then he started the Antakshri by informing members that we will sing on 'Lagan Geets'. Later on members were given the first word to sing Gujarati songs. Members had joined in to sing many songs. Some members also came to the stage to sing their chosen song.
Everyone enjoyed the programme.
6). Our new Website is now fully operational and photos of the Diwali Dhamaka programme have been uploaded under 'Albums'.
