1). President - Vinod Parekh announced : i) We welcome more new members today. We request all new members who are present here to stand up so that our members can see them and guide them. If you want to bring your Guests, you have to pay £10.
ii) There are some Rules you have to follow - as soon as you enter the Hall, you have to sign in the Register kept at the Main Table.
iii) Please note that the food we serve here is ordered from the Caterers, on basis of estimate numbers. So please do not go for second helping, until all members and our Volunteers have taken their Dishes.
iv) New Members - Please use the correct Toilets. Gents is on the LHS and Ladies is on RHS.
v) We had talked about any Bank Transfers of payment to NVK - like renewal fees etc. We had specified that any transfers must have your full names - Membership Number. We have received three payments - on 30/11/23 -01/12/23 - 28/12/23 with no names or details. We shall appreciate those who made the transfers during those dates to give us evidence that it was their payment for renewal fees.
vi) We had announced last week if any members wanted to donate "Chaas" for the month of January, and we are pleased to note that the response was immediate. However if anyone wants to book for other months, please contact us. Your donation for Biscuits at Tea Time is also most welcome.
vii) Card Section members, please switch off the Board Room lights after you have finished the game and bring the Bag near the gate of the Store.
vii) If you have any complaints or want to seek some explanation, please do not do it directly. All such matters will have to come to our Secretary or write an Email to : mahendra_purnima@hotmail.com
2). Today we had Chair Yoga by Rupaliben Kanade. She conducted many Yogic poses to stretch body muscles and joints and insisting on how to do the same correctly. She also did the Chair Surya Namaskar with variations and chanting mantras. All enjoyed the session. Many thanks from NVK
3). DONATIONS : a) -"Chaas" for the month of January is sponsored by Sushilaben J Shah. Many thanks from NVK
b) £20 from Dilipbhai Mehta on the occasion of his birthday and also his wedding anniversary. He was requested to stand up so members could wish him Happy birthday. NVK's Best Wishes and thanks. We pray that he will enjoy many more birthdays to come.
4). We are pleased to inform members that our three members - Dr. Pragnaben Mandalia, Rameshbhai Shah and Bhupendrabhai Vasa have all been awarded the MJF award from London Platinum Lions Club for services rendered. NVK's heartiest congratulations, Best Wishes and pray they continue to give services. They were requested to stand up and members applauded them.
5). After lunch today we are going to celebrate the 'Pran Pratistha' of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya with bhajans etc and also thereafter we will celebrate India's Republic Day celebrations with songs.
As usual at Tea Time, NVK will provide Tea/Coffee and the sponsored Biscuits.

Next to the Stage, Maltiben had made a wonderful decoration with lights signifying both the programmes. An idol of Sri Ram was brought by Bhartiben Vibhakar. Nimaben Kakad helped in decorating.
The afternoon programme started at 2.00 pm by the Asst. Convenor - Mahesh Savadia who gave a short introduction. Many members had come in colourful Saris and dresses which brought a very colourful afternoon programme. Mahesh Savadia then sang appropriate Shri Ram Bhajans in between those who came to recite bhajans, songs etc.
Then members came to sing Bhajans, songs etc for both the programmes.
There was also "Aarti" performed where members came to get blessings from the deities.
At the end of the programme Mahesh and other members concluded with patriotic song and members raising the Indian flags and joining in singing.
President - Vinod Parekh thanked all the participants for an entertaining programme and Maltiben Shah for setting up the beautiful decoration Table
Yet again a very enjoyable programme.
