1. Today NVK honoured our member Nirmalaben R Shah with gift vouchers. the committee agreed to change from Shawl to gift vouchers. Nirmalaben celebrated her 90th Birthday on 12 August. NVK widhes her good health and many more birthdays to come.
Nirmalaben donated £201 to NVK on this occasion. On behalf of the Kendra, many thanks to Nirmalaben and family for the generous donation.
2. On Thursday 20th of August we are closed. Instead, we meet on Wednesday, the 19th of August with Chair yoga.
3. Today’s lunch is sponsored by our EC member Mrs Kusumben Dhavantrai Punater and Family, in memory of her late Husband Dhavantrai Punater’s Punya tithi. After lunch, we had Bhajans and Kirtan, which was also been sponsored by Kusumben Dhavantrai Punater and family.
4. Bhajans and Kirtan - We have had a programme of Bhajans/Stavans/Bollywood songs by Vijaybhai Sheth and his team. This programme as well as the lunch earlier were sponsored by Kusumben Dhanvantrai Punater. Vijaybhai Sheth is a well known figure in Jain and non-Jain organisations. He serves as trustee in many charity organisations and he has his own business too. Vijaybhai, his wife Kiranben, Maheshbhai on Keyboard, Jagdishbhai on Octapad and Lalobhai on Tabla presented soulful music for about an hour and 20 minutes. People thoroughly enjoyed this programme.
5. DAY PICNIC - on Wednesday, 2 September

- Departure at 8:15 from Kenton library
- Return at 4:30 pm from Clacton reaching London around 6 pm
- Amount £30 per member first preference to members.

7. Please note that we may have a possible closure on Thursday 27 August. We can only meet on Tuesday 25 August. This depends on Meera's, our lunch suppliers. If they agree to provide lunch on Tuesday we will go head with Tuesday 25 August. SO WATCH THIS SPACE.
