Music Dhamaka – Event Report
Today we had arranged a 'Summer Dhamaka' event. This is one of the two to three programmes where we provide full day entertainment to our members. This time some 280 members had bought tickets and the hall was full by 11 am. Prior to that we provided breakfast of Makai-Paua and Ganthia to our members. Everyone was given a carton of soft drink too.
At sharp 11 am Viru Vakani's singers started singing beautiful songs accompanied by the very talented musicians from India. The quality of the songs was too good. Singers sang all types of songs. Slow songs to start with to get the mood going and then fast numbers wherein people joined in dancing. Old Bollywood numbers and some new songs were also received with great applause. One particular highlight was that one of the artists was playing music on his saxophone. This was perhaps the 'First' in our events. Some Gujarati songs and garba songs were also sung by the singers. This was very much acclaimed by our members.
Today also marked our first trial of serving breakfast at a Music Dhamaka event. We hope everyone enjoyed the simple breakfast menu and that it was well received. Based on your feedback, we may consider making breakfast a regular feature at future Music Dhamaka events.
We also introduced our free seating trial once again. We hope members followed our request not to reserve more than one seat. We appreciate everyone’s cooperation, which helped make the seating arrangements fair for all.

Organising an event of this scale requires tremendous teamwork, and we would like to express our sincere gratitude to all our volunteers. Thank you to everyone who worked at the entrance, kitchen, serving stations, and all members of the NVK Committee. We are especially grateful to the volunteers who came yesterday afternoon to help set up the hall, as well as those who arrived early this morning to ensure everything was ready. It was truly uplifting to see the enthusiasm and support shown by so many members.
Our heartfelt thanks also go to the hall management team for their excellent planning and organisation, and to our caterers for providing a delicious breakfast and lunch. As always, they looked after us exceptionally well and served wonderful food at Breakfast and Lunch.
We are grateful to all our members for their continued support and for attending in such large numbers. Your encouragement and participation inspires us to continue organising events like these.
As part of today’s celebrations, we also held our Best Dressed Male and Female competition. The prizes were donated by an anonymous donor. We were honoured to have our guests, Girishbhai and Vinaben Vora serve as our judges.

Congratulations to both winners, and thank you once again to everyone who contributed to making Music Dhamaka such a memorable and successful event.
The day ended with a finale of Garba, Ranzaniyu and patroatic songs. We look forward to seeing you all again at our next event.
