1). President - Vinod Parekh announced : a). Last Thursday when we met in the upstairs Hall, someone had forgotten a packet of some fragrant wood chips. Also some weeks ago someone had forgotten a white Sweater. We request the owners to come and collect their items. b). Paryushan Parva has just been finished and Jain members had taken part in all the celebrations. We wish all are "saata ma" and also I and my Executive Committee wish everyone "Micchami Dukdaam". If any of us had unknowingly hurt your feelings in any way, we ask for forgiveness.
2). Today's Warm up Yoga was conducted by Dineshbhai T Shah and the main Yoga by Manishaben. She conducted many Yogic poses for toning up muscles and body joints. Many thanks to both.
3). DONATIONS : i). £51 from an anonymous donor as 'Khusi Bhet'. Many thanks from NVK.
ii). £11 from a Guest - Naresh Doshi on the occasion of his birthday today. Many thanks from NVK. Everyone then joined in singing the Gujarati song of birthday by Nimaben Kakad and then the Happy Birthday song by Sushilaben Maniar.
4). After lunch today our Cultural Co-Ordinator - Dr Vinodbhai Kapashi will give a talk on our Festivals and specially on Paryushan Parva.
As usual at Tea Time, NVK will provide Tea/Coffee and the sponsored Biscuits.

Afternoon programme started at 2.00 pm with Dr. Vinodbhai Kapashi giving an insight to our festivals. He talked about our Hindu and Jain religious festivals. He mentioned the importance of the holy month of 'Shravan' and some festivals.
Then he explained about the Jain festival of 'Paryushan' and the importance of 'tapascharya' - (fasting etc). He also explained about forgiveness and its benefits in our life.
All present heard his talk with interest and pin drop silence. There were some questions and answers were given.
Yet again a thoroughly enjoyable programme.
