જન્માષ્ટમી મહા-ઉત્સવ

In the afternoon, we celebrated the most joyous and sacred festival of Janmashtami. The hall was decorated with many colourful items related to Bhagvan Shri Krishna.. One big table depicting Murtis, photos, Parnu ,Aarti and lots of prasad was laid out for people to see and do darshan. Second table near the entrance also had colourful items and murtis of Shri Krishna. Many of our devoted volunteers worked hard to make this programme very successful. We thank all of them from the bottom of our hearts. Thal and Aarti were sung before lunch. Then prasad was taken away which was distributed during the lunch time. After lunch, we encouraged our members to do Garba and Raas. Ladies had arrived in colourful sarees or chaniya- cholis. They all took part with great enthusiasm.
Overall our members were very happy in celebrating this religious/cultural festival.

The Aarti amount collected was £105. This amount will be donated to Hare Krishna Temple-Watford.
