Dear members,

1. We observed a one minute silence for 2 of our members who recently passed away. Mr Subhas Pranlal Shah and Mr Shirish Purushottam Parikh.

2. Our popular Diwali Dhamaka programme is scheduled for 23 October 2025 at Sattavis Patidar Hall. It is a full day musical programme with special lunch. The cost of ticket is members and carer £15. Member guest £20. Please purchase from the front desk together with table sitting lists also.

3. We are proud that 2 of our members have been elected to Navnat Social Group: Dhirubhai Galani as President and Bakulbhai Kothari as Treasurer. Many congratulations on behalf of the Kendra.

4. Donations

  • £25 from Prabhulal Shah on the occasion of his wife Jayaben Shah's birthday which is today.
  • £60 from Geetaben M Mehta for Chaas for the month of October.
  • £60 from Madhugauri Shashikant Shah for Chaas for the month of October, in memory of her husband late Shashikant Shah and her son late Umesh Shashikant Shah
  • Packets of biscuits from Sushilaben Rajnikant Mehta
  • Packets of biscuits from Jaswantiben Shah in memory of her husband late Narotambhai Shah and her son late Bhupndrabhai Shah.

5. Afternoon Programme: 

Our guests for this week were the office bearers of a well known Charity of India:- 'Life Global'. This charity does remarkable humanitarian and educational activities in Rajkot and surrounding districts of Gujarat. Many donors of the UK have contributed generously in building new schools in rural areas. Mr Rushikeshbhai Pandya explained their activities and his colleague Mitalben Koticha helped him. Jyotsnaben Shah of Gujarat Samachar accompanied them. Prior to their presentation Vinod Kapashi talked about Dashera festival and explained the significance of this important festival. This day (2nd October) was also the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri. Vinodbhai talked about important Gandhian activities.
