1). Today is Older People’s Day which is held annually in the UK on 1st October to coincide with the International Day of Older Persons. The International Day was created by the United Nations in 1991 to celebrate the contributions and achievements of older people to society and the economy, whilst also challenging negative attitudes and outdated stereotypes.

1). In Yoga today, Manishaben conducted exercises for avoiding Arthritis, Diabetes and Joints pains. Many thanks to her from Kendra. Also if you are interested the Al Jazeera Channel today showed an hour documentary – Correspondent’s Report - called ‘Yoga Belongs to whom?. This was very informative on different versions of the thousands of years old practise conducted in several parts of the world, and it is likely they may repeat the same.

1).H.R.H. Queen Elizabeth II has become Britain’s longest reigning monarch after she surpassed the record of 63 years and 216 days on throne set by her great-great-grandmother –Queen Victoria. Our heartiest congratulations and we pray that she will always be ‘Happy and Glorious’ and ‘Long to reign over us’
2). Jain’s ‘Mahaparva - Paryushan’ has started from today and several religious activities have been arranged by various Jain organisations. We hope Jains will take opportunity to attend these.
